Friends Are Friends Forever by Keith Cook
"Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." Proverbs 27:17
Friends Are Friends Forever but they don't cook, clean, work, or live with you every day. One of the greatest struggles you will have in your adult life is balancing the needs of your work, family, self, and friends.
Follow these rules for friends to make your life more productive:
1. Do not let one or two friends monopolize your time
2. Do not let any plans or activities with friends jeopardize your relationship with your family or faith
3. Discipline the time you spend with your friends each week
4. Make sure you make time to get with your friends each week
5. Never talk to your friends about things that you ought to be talking to your spouse or parents
6. Help each of your friends be all they can be in Christ
7. Pray for your friends
Friends Are Friends Forever. Practice these principles, and you will be richly rewarded, along with your friends.
Personal Prayer Focus: Take a few moments to pray for your friends that you have in your life right now. On The Go Prayer Focus: God to send new friends into your life to add flavor.
On The Go Prayer Focus: All the local churches, committees, and leaders who will be working with On The Go Ministries and the Keith Cook Team in creative outreach efforts in the United States and around the world.
Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Face the Truth
Face the Truth by Keith Cook
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
I believe that today we need to face the truth about where we are with God. We need to look in the mirror and see clearly who we are and where we are spiritually.
The first thing that we need to face the truth about is ourselves. The Bible says that all of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) We have all sinned, and therefore, our self is not good enough to get us into the Kingdom of Heaven and make us right with God.
We also need to face the truth about Jesus. Jesus is either who He said He was and who He said He is, or He is a liar and a lunatic. Jesus said, "I am the Truth," and I believe He is the truth. The Bible says He is the truth. History says He is the truth. He is the One, True Savior of the world.
We must face the truth about eternity. Where are we going to spend eternity? Are we going to live forever with God in paradise, or, are we going to live forever in Hell with the devil. We have a choice to make.
We need to live up to who God has called us to be. God has called us to life on the highest plain, and we are living down here in this present world and in this standard. God wants us to rise above the mindset of this present world.
Today, choose to face the truth. Face the truth about yourself, about Jesus, and eternity. Live forever for Jesus Christ before it is too late.
Personal Prayer Focus: Pray that God will give you a greater sense of urgency and burden to share the Gospel message with those who need to hear the Truth.
On The Go Prayer Focus: Keith Cook, Joan Cook, the U.S.A. Staff, and On The Go Board of Directors, as they add leadership and direction for the ongoing ministries of the Keith Cook Team and On The Go.
Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Praise God in the Midst of Storms
Praise God in the Midst of Storms - by Keith Cook
"You who fear him, trust in the LORD- he is their help and shield. " Psalms 115:11 NAS
During one of my trips to the Philippines, I was suddenly made aware that I was in the midst of many storms. There were typhoon warnings going off and the very roads we were traveling on were washing out from under us. We were racing frantically to try to cross a bridge that was the only way out of the war torn and terrorist infested area. The storm waters were rising fast and suddenly washed our bridge away. The government and people's army were fighting all around. Bullets were flying and there was no way to know who was friend or foe. I was battling all kinds of emotional, physical and mental storms while being in very real storms of nature.
Yet, right in the middle of all the storms there was somehow peace. Jesus was with me. Jesus was comforting me, and He was ministering to my troubled mind.
Eventually, on my journey in the Philippines, I began to see each storm and situation as a blessing and opportunity to trust God more and rest in His perfect will for my life.
You may be facing storms of pain and doubt right now in your life. I have been told that the safest place to be during a storm is right in the middle, or in the eye, of a hurricane. Right now you need to rest in the middle of God's will for your life. He is your help and shield. He is your Heavenly lifeline.
Personal Prayer Focus: Focus on Jesus today and give Him the storms in your life.
On The Go Prayer Focus: The Safety In Travel for each On The Go staffer and GoTeam volunteer.

"After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward." Genesis 15:1
"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Matthew 17:20
"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing." 1 Corinthians 13:2

Are You Ready To Go Home?
Are You Ready To Go Home? by Keith Cook
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." John 14:2
Jesus Christ is preparing a place in Heaven for all of His children who have placed their trust in Him.
The other day I was thinking about home. As an international evangelist, I travel quite often, each time going to different countries and different locations around the world. While I am ministering in other countries, even though I'm doing the Lord's work, I still get a little homesick. I miss my wife, my son, my grand daughter, and even my home. I miss my "world".
There's a world that is coming one day called "Heaven". Heaven has been prepared for you and me so that we can live forever with God. God wants us to get to His home and He wants us to live with Him forever. In the Bible, Jesus tells us that He is preparing a place just for us. Literally speaking, there is a little spot of Heaven reserved just for you!
How do you get to God's home? You must go the right way. If you try to reach Heaven by the wrong path, you will never reach your destination. You can not go the devil's way to get to Heaven, you must go the way of Jesus Christ. Choose today to serve Him, love Him, and get to know Him by asking Him to be your Savior. This is the way, the only way to Heaven.
Personal Prayer Focus: Praise God for His marvelous provisions and our eternal home in Heaven which is being prepared for us today.
On The Go Prayer Focus: The Finances of the Team as they boldly go out for Jesus Christ. Pray that all their needs will be met at home and for the projects they are working on.
Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Prayer Warriors
Prayer Warriors by Keith Cook
"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should." Colossians 4:2-4
Prayer is a vital part of every aspect of our ministry here at On The Go. We covet your prayers as we enter into the summer with our GoTeams ministering internationally and throughout the USA.
Where prayer abounds, there is power, strength, and blessings. Your prayers enable our GoTeams to effectively minister and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Here are some key notes to remember as you pray for On The Go:
1. Pray that our GoTeams will be devoted to God as they minister. Our strength and wisdom comes directly from God.
2. Pray for Safety. Pray a hedge of protection around our teams as they minister. Pray for safety and the health of our team members.
3. Pray for Open Doors of Ministry. As we travel abroad and in the USA, we are continually seeking God's divine opportunities to serve. Pray that God will open doors before our teams and expand our ministry in each country that our GoTeams are ministering in.
4. Pray for Boldness for each team member that they might share God's love.
5. Pray for Victory over Fear, Opposition, and Spiritual Warfare.
6. Pray for Discernment. Pray for each team member that God will give them wisdom and discernment as they clearly present the Gospel Message.
7. Pray for Divine Appointments. Pray that the hearts of the individuals our teams minister to will be ready to hear about God's love and open to His call to repentance.
Prayer plays a vital part of our team! Without prayer there is no power. Thank you for praying for our On The Go staff and our GoTeams!
Personal Prayer Focus: Pray for Divine Appointments as our GoTeams minister and share God's love.
On The Go Prayer Focus: All the Ministry Partners, Missions, Missionaries that On The Go ministers with. It takes team work to make the dream of reaching the world a reality.

A Memorial Stone
A Memorial Stone by Laurie McTier
"And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them." Exodus 24:12
I praise God for the opportunity He has given me to serve with On The Go Ministries. As we work with young people and adults worldwide, we often ask them to draw a Life Map of their walk with Christ. This tool encourages them to share their faith and also allows them to see their spiritual journey, including mountain peaks and valleys and times of growth and detours. This life map can serve as a memorial stone, a testimony of God's hand at work in His masterpiece.
Recently as I was studying God's Word, He reminded me of the memorial stones that He provided Moses as he was leading the Children of Israel. Moses sensed a need to get alone with God, and God revealed Himself in a mighty way. As a result, God gave Moses the Ten Commandments that he then shared with the Children of Israel as rules to live by. (Exodus 20)
Thou shall have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
Thou shall not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor thy father and thy mother.
Thou shall not kill.
Thou shall not commit adultery.
Thou shall not steal.
Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
Thou shall not covet.
God's Word provides us with rules to live by. Make these memorial stones personally as you strive to pattern your life after Christ.
Personal Prayer Focus: Praise God for Memorial Stones that God has utilized in your life to challenge and instruct you.
On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go's GoCamp ministry that trains believers all over the world how to share their faith.
Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Vestal Goodman and Johnny Cash
Vestal Goodman and Johnny Cash by Keith Cook
"...let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1, 2
The past few years have been difficult for some of us who have friends in the ministry and in the music industry. Vestal Goodman and Johnny Cash both passed away not too long ago. As I think about their lives and their music, I am reminded that both of these individuals had totally different lives, yet their music impacted thousands of lives around the world, and thousands for the Kingdom of God!
Johnny Cash was often referred to as "The Man in Black." Deep down inside, he really had a clean heart. He came to know Christ, he lived for Him, and he served Him. He often traveled with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He sang in Dr Graham's crusades and on television. He was not ashamed of his relationship with Jesus Christ.
Vestal Goodman who sang with the Happy Goodman Family, has sung all over this country, and our world, and has blessed so many lives by her music and testimony. Vestal sang with so much power, and I loved to hear her sing because each time I knew the love of God was in her life.
I had the opportunity to meet Johnny Cash on one occasion, and I shook his hand. He was such a gentleman. He looked me in the eyes and said, "God Bless You." He was not ashamed of Jesus.
We will miss both Johnny and Vestal because they were not ashamed of Jesus Christ. We need to realize that whether we are rich or poor, famous or infamous, Jesus Christ can give us a race that we can run for Him. We need to run for Jesus so that when we die, our friends, family, and acquaintances will talk about us as we talk about Vestal and Johnny. They were good people, yet more importantly, their lives counted for the furtherance of God's Kingdom.
Personal Prayer Focus: Pray that your life will be a legacy as you seek to live your life from God's perspective.
On The Go Prayer Focus: The Families of the On The Go staff. Pray for their emotions, finances, safety, wisdom, and spiritual health.

Leaders and Nations Beware
Leaders and Nations Beware by Keith Cook
Draw near, O nations, to hear; and listen, O peoples! Let the earth and all it contains hear, and the world and all that springs from it. Isaiah 34:1 NASB
After spending a relaxing and inspirational weekend out riding a Harley along the Florida Gulf coast, I decided to dig into some heavy Bible reading in the book of Isaiah. It has been great. I have read so much in Isaiah about how leaders can make or break a nation. Isaiah is full of reminders, rebukes, and recommendations for believers and leaders that is so practical and needed today. In my own life there have been seasons of great advances and joy that have often been followed by times of what is going on! During these times God drives me deep into His Word to find comfort and direction. It is amazing how He works. It is always just what I need to adjust my attitude, fortify my faith, or steer my course.
Isaiah 34 is a chapter that deals with God's indignation against nations. While reading the chapter God gave me the following insights.
1. God still has power to make and break nations (34:1)
2. It is wise for leaders to follow the moral and ethical codes of the Bible (34:1)
3. There is reward and rebuke for how nations honor God, His people, and His agenda (34:2)
4. The ways of God can be mysterious but it is beneficial to seek to know and honor Him (34:2-7)
5. There is a day of reckoning coming (34:8) - God's Word calls this a time of Vengeance and Recompense.
6. Decisions and Actions made now and in the past affect Generations (34:10) - God honors and protects leaders and nations that do good, helps other nations, and honors Him. God brings down leaders and nations that do evil, seeks to destroy other nations, and those who dishonor Him.
7. When emptiness sets into a culture or generation, nothing satisfies or makes a real difference (34:11,12)
It probably would be a great idea to check out Isaiah 34 for yourself and see what God tells you! He still speaks through His Word.
Prayer Focus: Ask God to draw your heart nearer to His Word, and that you might seek to know and honor Him. Pray for Our Nation...Decisions and Actions made now and in the past affect generations.

Set The Pace
Set The Pace by Laurie McTier
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith," Hebrews 12:1,2
A few years ago, God gave me the opportunity to spend some quality time with a very dear friend. My friend is physically fit, but this year God was teaching her discipline as she is developing a jogging program so that she can stay in shape.
One afternoon, my friend asked me to go walking with her. In my heart, I know that I need to increase my exercise routine, so I quickly agreed. Although I tried to keep the pace, it seemed that I just slowed her regimen down. As we walked, we made many new acquaintances, one of which was 60 years old and walks at least an hour and a half every evening. Mr. H. guards his exercise time, and does not allow anything to interfere as this is one of the most important parts of his day, second only to his personal time with the Lord and family.
Mr. H. and my friend were able to keep pace with one another, and I asked them to go ahead of me so that they could get the full extent of their walk. I noticed that I began to get a little discouraged because I was not as in shape as they were and could not walk as fast as they did. At times, I wanted to quit.
Through this illustration, I am reminded that the enemy wants to prohibit us from doing anything that is beneficial for the Kingdom or would bring glory to God. One thing that God taught me as I walked that afternoon was that He wanted me to allow Him to "set the pace". He reminded me that I am not to compete or compare myself to others, but just relax and let Him set the controls in my life. He also showed me that it is His desire that I press on and not quit. This can apply to every area of our lives, not just in exercising. We can all make overall applications in our lives as God wants to discipline us in many areas of our life. God wants us to remain faithful to His call and to keep the pace in all that He has laid out on our course of life.
Daily Prayer: God, give me the strength and stamina that I need today to fulfill the tasks You have for me to do. Help me to keep the pace.
On The Go Prayer Focus: Those who need to make decisions for Christ as On The Go and the Keith Cook Team shares the Gospel around the world. Pray that they will hear a clear message about Christ, that the Holy Spirit will move them to a point of decision and that they will be bold enough to publicly respond for Christ.

A Lord Worth Thanking
A Lord Worth Thanking by Keith Cook
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His loving-kindness is everlasting." Psalm 118:1
Have you ever had a bad boss? Have you ever had to endure a less than motivational teacher? Ever been on a team with a less than stellar teammate? We all have! It is hard to endure such trials and tribulations but when you think of the Lord Jesus Christ, our mindset changes. When you look at the scriptures you can see a great picture of what we have in our Lord and what we are to do because of how great our Lord is. He is a Lord worth thanking!
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good"
How hard is it to say thank you? Is it hard for you to give someone other than yourself credit for a blessing, talent, or reward? God is reminding us in His Word to give thanks to the real Lord to whom thanks is due.
What are you thankful to the Lord for?
Be thankful for good health.
Praise God that He has granted you great happiness.
Many are blessed with wonderful financial success.
Most can say that the blessings of God are so rich and full right now.
These are all good things to have but what if they were to all go away.
What would you do if your health was bad or one of your children came down with a sickness that was serious? Would you still have reason to thank the Lord? What if you became burdened by the sin sick society around you and the happiness you once found on the golf course or at the mall no longer brought you joy. Would you still have reason to be thankful to the Lord? If the price of gas brings down your profits and the stock market takes a plunge, or your position get terminated at work, could you still find reason to be thankful in the Lord?
Is health, happiness, success, blessings required from God in order for you to be thankful?
For the Christian nothing can separate us from the love of God and nothing should be able to keep us from being thankful to God for what He is to us! He is a Lord worth thanking.
"For His loving-kindness is everlasting."
The Bible says we are to be thankful for His loving-kindness. The word loving-kindness can also mean mercy, love that is steadfast, compassion, or even the goodness of God.
When we are truly thankful to God we are faithfully and honestly choosing to believe that God is showing mercy towards us and is lovingly thinking of our needs, desires, and situation. When we are truly thankful, we are trusting in Him to take care of all we really need.
Being thankful to our Lord means:
1. That we are not demanding of God certain riches or proofs that He is loving and caring for us.
2. That we are not going to stop thanking God or serving God if we do not get our way or will in certain situations in our lives.
3. That we will honor God with giving Him credit and praise for all the provisions He makes on our behalf. In order to do this we have to see what He is doing in every situation. The only way to see and know this is to see and know Him. You do this in prayer and study of His Word.
4. Trusting God when we go through the hard situations and the times in life that make no sense.
5. We thank God in public and private. We share with the Lord in prayer and praise our thankfulness and we share with others how grateful and thankful we are for His mercy and provision.
Personal Prayer Focus: Take a few moments to day to reflect on the loving-kindness of God towards you in Christ. Because of Christ coming into your life and providing salvation, security, and stability you have reason to be thankful. Make sure God knows just how thankful you are.
On The Go Prayer Focus: The follow-up of inquirers who come publicly and make decisions for Christ, write in for materials to grow in Christ, or who visit our website looking for help in following Christ. Pray for local believers, churches, parents, and friends who all will be used of God to nurture each and every one to maturity in Christ.

Speak In Love
Speak In Love by Keith Cook
"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:" Ephesians 4:15
Always speak the truth in love.
For out 25th wedding anniversary, my wife and I were surprised with a party by some of our friends. At the close of the night they asked us to share some embarrassing moments that Joan and I had had over the years. Let me share one of Joan's moments.
Joan wanted to cook me a special meal when we come back to our little house after our honeymoon. I was so excited! We had spent all our money on our honeymoon and had just enough left over to have some very basic meals and one very special meal. She planned long and hard as to what she would fix for this special meal.
My bride called my mother and asked her my favorite thing to eat. She was told that I loved old-fashioned pot roast. She then proceeded to write down my mother's famous roast recipe.
Joan worked in the kitchen all day long. I could smell the roast cooking and I was getting ready for the meal of a lifetime. She brought it out to the table and said that she hoped I would like it. I cut into the meat and with a childlike delight brought the succulent beef to my mouth.
As my taste buds absorbed the flavor of the meat I almost cried, not at the joy of the great dish my new wife had prepared, but at the horrible flavor. I tried to eat the meat with zeal and not let on that it was not good. Joan could tell something was wrong.
She tasted the meat and began to cry. I quickly went to her side and said it was great, just bad beef. She calmed down some and then I asked her about the recipe. She told me.
Then I began to laugh. She had fixed my mother's famous recipe with all the right ingredients except she had misunderstood her main ingredient. She had added mustard where the recipe called for mushrooms. (Phone connections were bad in those days!) She had completely ruined the taste by adding the wrong ingredients.
She called my mother and got the recipe right. Now, she fixes the dish even better than mom!
In all of your relationships remember to love and appreciate all the special things that others do for you. Even when they are not perfect.
Personal Prayer Focus: Praise God for the special people He has given to you, pray a special prayer for each of them today.
On The Go Prayer Focus: All the local churches, committees, and leaders who will be working with On The Go Ministries and the Keith Cook Team in creative outreach efforts in the United States and around the world.

Pass It Down
Pass It Down by Joan Cook
"A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother." Proverbs 10:1
Isn't that the way it goes! When your children are acting right and doing what they should, who gets the credit? The father of course! But, when they go temporarily insane with their actions, the mother gets the blame.
Seriously, if we teach our children to be wise, they will bring joy to their father and mother. As we learn God's word and walk in His ways, we should hand wisdom and knowledge down to our children. How wonderful it is to have children who have a Godly heritage!
As a Mom or Dad, take the time to teach your children the wisdom you have learned through the years. Teach by example and instruction! We have an obligation to raise our children up to be a generation that loves and serves the Lord!
By the way, fathers may get most of the credit, but mothers always get a great big hello from their children on television!
Personal Prayer Focus: Pray for godly insight and discernment as you train your children to follow in the steps of the Lord.
On The Go Prayer Focus: The "On The Go Daily Internet Devotions". This devotional series is read by hundreds around the World via the internet. God Has A Special Portion Just For You
God Has A Special Portion Just For You by Keith Cook
"Two things I asked of You, Do not refuse me before I die: Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion." Proverbs 30:7, 8
How many times have you actually told God, "I don't want to be rich or poor, but I want my portion?" Most of us constantly bombard Heaven with requests for riches and rewards.
As an international evangelist, I have traveled across the globe, and I have come in contact with many who are poor, having just the clothes on their backs. Though they may not have as much as many others have, they still have what they really need. They have what they need to serve God. They have a rich understanding of what it means to praise God. They also are consistently giving back to God their service and devotion that can not be measured by the monetary standards of this earth. Their lives and love is priceless to God and being in relationship with Jesus is precious to them.
A person's real value is not in how rich or poor they are, but in how they are using their portion from God!
What does God want for your life?
In certain parts of the world, the basic necessities of life may not be as great as in other geographical locations. God allows some to have riches and some to live on meager means, but He wants all to find His portion for their lives and honor Him in all that they have.
Find out God's plan for your life, and remain firm in your commitments to Him. Some people can not handle riches, others can not handle poverty. On the other hand, they can handle what God gives them as their portion. This is not an excuse for not succeeding or having goals. This also does not mean that God is for wealthy Christians not sharing their wealth. As God gives He also directs. God has blessed all of us to be a blessing. Give away some love, kindness, service, offerings, and portions today!
My challenge to you today is to seek the Lord, find out from Him what you need to sustain you. Live on these truths, trust in God, and act in obedience to Him.
Daily Prayer: Pray that God will keep deception and lies far from you. Pray that He will give you neither poverty nor riches, but feed you with the food that is your portion.

Confrontation Brings Glory
Confrontation Brings Glory by Carey Smith
"For even if I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it. For I perceive that the same epistle made you sorry, though only for a while. Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." 2 Corinthians 7:8-10
Are you afraid of confrontation? Are you worried someone might get upset or defensive because you tell them what they are doing is wrong? I imagine we are all guilty of the fear of confrontation. I know my immediate response is sometimes not that of a caring nature.
Paul did not consider himself to be a great speaker. He admits to being timid when he had to speak to others face to face, yet he understood the importance of Godly confrontation. Paul knew that sin leads to death. It separates us from the awesome glory of who God is. Who wants to be separated from God?
Because of his concern for the Corinthians, Paul confronted them in their sin. He took no pleasure in their sorrow. He did not delight in being right. He took joy in knowing that sorrow leads to repentance to an awesome, wonderful God who displays His glory in forgiveness.
Jesus says in Luke 15:7, "I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." Just think, you can have a part in the rejoicing that takes place in Heaven!
Be willing to confront your brother or sister in sin. Be willing to be confronted and put away your pride. Rejoice in the forgiveness that can only come from a gracious and glorious Father who desires salvation for your life and not separation from Him.
Personal Prayer Focus: Pray that God will reveal hidden sins in your own life and confess them to God. Pray for divine wisdom and discernment as God may use you to confront your brother or sister in their sin.
On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go's Outreach Training Schools (OTS). In our OTS, young people and adults are trained to go to the next level in their service to God. Pray for On The Go as we train believers to make a difference in their generation.

Marriage Goes Hollywood
Marriage Goes Hollywood By Keith Cook
"Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge." Hebrews 13:4
Actress Cameron Diaz, has stated in Maxim magazine that marriage is a "dying institution," "I think we have to make our own rules," "I don't think we should live our lives in relationships based off old traditions that don't suit our world any longer." (1)
Upon hearing her remark I realized that to some degree she is right - marriage is a dying institution - dying to self and living for another's happiness and fulfillment, dying to the temptation to continue hunting for the next sexual conquest, and dying to doing, living, or thinking selfishly or for oneself.
While Hollywood preaches a message of loose living, on and off again commitments to marriage partners, and multiple attempts at finding the right partner they are not the only ones to blame for the decline of marriage importance in modern culture.
Who is to blame? Everyone is to blame. Once anyone allows sin and compromise into their personal lives it will affect every area of their lives.
If a father mistreats his wife most agree that that is wrong. He may commit this sin for many reasons, none of which are valid. Yet - He may drink too much and get out of control, he may desire another spouse and take it out on the wife he has, he may be in a job he hates and feel unfulfilled. So he abuses his wife. Plain and simple. Yes - No!
Not only does the wife suffer abuse but all in that household. Children grow up with a perverted view of marriage, a warped view of love between a man and a woman, or a emotional scar that will follow them into their own relationships.
If marriage partners "die to self and live for Christ" marriage is truly made in Heaven. Secular marriage may be a thing of the past but a true Christian marriage is divine. With Christ in control of a marriage there are spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical benefits. Love, acceptance, companionship, compassion, tenderness, caring, sharing, commitment, security, strength, passion, courage, peace, and trust are all attributes of a real Christian marriage.
Christian marriages are not perfect but they do have a perfect marriage counselor and guide in the Holy Spirit. All any marriage needs to survive is a direct relationship with their creator. With Christ all things are possible. The valley of death can be traveled, the pathway through shame and guilt can be traversed, and the normal ups and downs of family life can be navigated under Christ's control.
You do not need a Hollywood marriage, you need a Godly marriage. Deny self, the tabloids, culture, fairytale dreams and just live life with the partner God has given you (or will give you). There is such joy with living out your life with the one God has given. There is adventure and blessing around every corner of life and with every breath. Enjoy!

Cut Backs and Catch Ups
Cut Backs and Catch Ups by Keith Cook
"The end of all things is at hand; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer." 1 Peter 4:7
All of the men and women who work with me at On The Go Ministries are supported by generous contributions from Christians who believe that God has called them to support the ministry of each individual staff member. Recently, some of our staff said that some of their supporters have cut back on the amount of money they are contributing because they do not know what is around the corner, and they want to protect their family and their investments.
Many of these supporters have said that they will increase their contributions again when the economic crisis is over. Unfortunately, in over 40 years of ministry, I have never had anyone retreat into a position of not doing God's will, and then catch up the missed support. There is always something that comes up to affect their involvement in ministry. Once money, fame, fear, peers, or family is allowed to affect a person's obedience to God's call on their life, they usually travel a long way down the road away from God.
God does not want us to have this kind of judgment; He wants us to have sound judgment. Jesus did not guard His "stuff"; He freely gave it away. He shared all that He had with anyone who came to Him for help in times of need. Do not harden your heart to the needs of those around you. Open up and dig out of your protective cover. Publicly carry on for Jesus.
Daily Prayer Focus: Pray for sound judgment as you seek to minister to the needs of others.
On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go's Performing Arts Team. Pray for our team as we minister through drama, puppets, interpretive dance, and music. Our Performing Arts Teams are made up of volunteers and On The Go staffers who travel around the USA to local churches and events sharing the Good News.

Revival Happens First In The Church
Revival Happens First In The Church by Keith Cook
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
True revival happens first in the church, then it reaches outside the walls to affect the community. If you are wanting the world to get better, make sure your church is getting better. If you are wanting your personal situation to get better, you must be doing all you can to make sure your local church is functioning in real revival. Revival happens in the church one member at a time. So in order for your church to have true revival it will require a personal revival to take place in your heart. They are depending on you!
The conditions for a God-Sent revival are as follows:
1. You Must Be God's. You must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You must belong to Him. You must admit that you are a sinner, believe in Jesus Christ as God's only Son and your Saviour, and call on God to actually save you.
2. You Must Humble Yourself. You must acknowledge your need to be more like Christ. You must be holy as He is holy. This will translate into righteous living and a transformed attitude. People will notice the life change in your life!
3. You Must Pray. You must take all your requests directly and initially to God. There's no sense in taking your request to family, politicians, friends, or anyone else before you have talked with your Creator about them. Take your needs to Jesus Christ and He will not only give you directions but He will also lead you and strengthen you as you follow His will.
4. You Must Seek His Face! For real revival to happen you must talk to God as a friend. Return to your first love and fall in love with Him again. Seek His face again. Get to know God and hear His voice.
5. You Must Repent. If you want to experience real revival it will cost you dearly. You must turn from your sins and turn to do whatever God calls you to do. This will not be easy but it will be rewarding. Resting at the end of the day with total confidence in the path you have traveled and full assurance in the tasks before you will bring about peace and stability in your life.
If you practice these five steps, God will keep His promises! He will forgive your sins, and He will heal your land. This is God's plan for revival for you and your church! Let Him hear you today. Let God forgive you right now. Receive His healing touch even now as you commit to walk in real revival by putting His plan for your life into practice. Humbly seek Him, turn to Him, and pray with Him! Revival will be on its way.
Personal Prayer Focus: Pray that God will send forth Revival, and that it will begin in you!
On The Go Prayer Focus: The physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial needs of people hurting all over the United States and Worldwide. As God gives us opportunity in times of crisis we need to rapidly move to help.

How Far Is It to Heaven?
How Far Is It to Heaven? By Keith Cook
"Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 3:2
Repentance means to change your ways and change directions in the way that you are living. You may be going away from God now, but when you repent, you come towards God. The Bible says that we Must Repent because the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
If the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, we must learn how far it is to Heaven. Recently, I asked some children this very question. I got many answers. One of my favorites was, "It's a million quazillion miles away!" I'm not even sure if that's a word, but I couldn't help but laugh. Another young girl stated, "It's not a million quazillion miles away, it's just right up there. You can see it just above the clouds." Spiritually speaking, I believe that Heaven is closer than you may think. I believe that Heaven is just three steps away.
1. Admit that you are a sinner.
2. Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross just for you.
3. Call upon the name of the Lord to be saved.
After taking these three steps, you will have Heaven in your heart, and Heaven as your final destination! Heaven is so close!
Personal Prayer Focus: Ask God to search your heart and reveal unconfessed sins so that you may live in peace and obedience and in expectation of Heaven.
On The Go Prayer Focus: Continue to pray for our Peru GoTeam. Pray for favor, opportunity, decisions and God's will to be done. Pray that the team will finish well and for their travels as they begin their journey home.

Coconut Milk
Coconut Milk by Laurie McTier
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" 1 Peter 3:15
On a mission outreach to Jamaica, our team had the opportunity to paint the outside of a local church. As the outreach team painted the church, scraped walls, trimmed doors and windows, several boys from the community came out to help. God allowed us to build key relationships with the boys as we worked together, exchanged stories, and shared with them about the love of Christ. One of the key leaders in the church had already informed us that she had been trying to get these boys in church for years, without success, and she was so excited to see them come out each day to help the team and spend time with us.
On the last day as we finished painting the church, the ladies in the church were preparing a Jamaica-style buffet for our team, complete with Jerk chicken, peas, and rice. The temperature was extremely hot, and the pastor asked the boys to climb a coconut tree and get the team some fresh coconuts. Personally, I do not particularly care for coconut milk myself, but on the field, when someone has climbed up the tree to the very top to pick it just for you, you are forced to oblige, and honestly, it was quite refreshing.
As we were finishing up on the paint job, we noticed that we needed some rope to finish off the project. Jason, one of the young boys, quickly volunteered to run to the market. He was so eager and had such a servant's heart.
After an hour or so had passed, we began to notice Jason had not returned. We began to get a little concerned. Just then, he came around the corner. He was limping, and you could tell he was in great pain. We immediately brought him into the church to assess what had happened. While Jason had gone on his errand, an elderly townsman had asked him to climb a coconut tree and get his family some coconuts. Now he had done this thousands of times before, but this time as he got to the top, he lost his grip and fell about 20 feet.
I asked our taxi driver to take him into town and gave him the money for the visit to the emergency room. We did not get to see him before we left, but on the following Sunday, a dear friend from the church called me on the phone. With excitement in her voice, Winsome shared with me that Jason had come to church that morning and that he surrendered his life to the Lord!
You see my friends, God often works in strange and mysterious ways. God used coconut milk, Jason's injury, and the love that our team shared with him to bring him to a personal relationship with the Lord! Always be ready to share the love of Christ with others.
Personal Prayer Focus: Pray for those who have physical needs. Pray that God will work in their midst and that through their need, they will come to know God.
On The Go Prayer Focus: The physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial needs of people hurting all over the United States and Worldwide. As God gives us opportunity in times of crisis we need to rapidly move to help.

It's Time For A Radical Faith
It's Time For A Radical Faith by Keith Cook
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment." Mark 12:30
I believe with all of my heart, that today is the time for us as believers to have a radical faith. Gone is the convenience of being lukewarm and not actively engaged in reaching our culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Today's culture is rapidly invading the church and even individual Christians worldwide are being infected by the sin of lukewarmness.
If we are going to win people to Christ and turn back the tide of evil and hedonistic humanism that is engulfing our world today, we must do three simple things.
1. Stop Right Now. We must stop what we are doing and take time to make new friends for the sake of Jesus Christ. We must become friends with more people and allow more people into our world. Most of us live in a very small world, and we need to venture out and seek real people with real needs.
2. Look For Open Doors. We must look for open opportunities to share our faith and dependence on Jesus Christ. God will provide all who ask Him with open doors and natural and easy transition opportunities to share about Jesus. We must take the time to look for ways to share and to follow God's path as He reveal it to us.
3. Listen to the Spirit. We must learn to listen to the Holy Spirit and to those we are ministering to. God will direct our steps if we give Him our life each day. Salvation is a once in a lifetime experience, but following Jesus is moment by moment. Making Jesus Lord and being filled with the Spirit takes daily dying to self and moment by moment trusting in God's resources and direction.
Daily Prayer: Pray that God will increase your faith as you seek daily to stop, look, and listen for His direction in your walk with Him.
On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go's Neighborhood Outreach Program. In reality, very little is being done to reach people in many communities across the USA. On The Go is striving to train local Christians and help them develop programs that can systematically and permanently reach real needs in their neighborhoods.

A Tribute to My Mother
A Tribute to My Mother by Keith Cook Jr.
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8
Praise God for godly mothers! When I think of my mom, Joan Cook, I think of a woman who has such a heart for God and wants to honor Him in every way! My mother is certainly a vivid picture of the Proverbs 31 woman.
"Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised." Proverbs 31:28-30
Throughout my life, my mother has sought to be a godly woman and tend to every need in our home. Often times she was up long into the night and early in the morning to make sure that my dad and I had all that we needed.
One attribute that I have always admired in my mother is that she follows the example of Christ and many of the prophets who sought after God with all their heart. Christ would arise early and seclude Himself from the crowd so that He could spend quality time with His Father. These times brought Him strength, hope, and encouragement. Throughout my life, my mother has set an example for my dad and I in that she begins each day in the Word and in prayer.
Before my mother does anything else, she seeks to spend time with the Lord. This has served to build discipline in my life to spend time with God as well. My mother is also a teacher. She often shares with us the truths and lessons that God reveals to her during her personal time with God. I look forward to these moments and have grown to cherish them.
I can remember as a young boy and now that I am older as I arise in the morning to begin my day, I always know exactly where my mom can be found. It is in the dining room on the sofa nested in God's Word. I know that my mother has spent hours praying for my dad and I. We will never know the full impact that these prayers have had, for we can see just a glimpse of what God is doing!
Thank you Mom for setting for me a godly example. I love you!
Personal Prayer Focus: Pray that God will allow you to set a godly example today for someone in your circle of influence.
On The Go Prayer Focus: Keith Cook's Hands-On-Training Events. This is our Outreach Training School on the road. Keith and the On The Go Team share all across the USA and Worldwide in fun and creative ways that people can serve Jesus and make an impact in this generation!

My Mother
My Mother by Joan Cook
"I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD." 1 Samuel 1:27, 28
I am the youngest of five children. I have a sister, Peggy; a brother, Larry; a brother, David; and a sister, Janis. My mom had her hands full! As I was growing up, my mother worked outside the home. She worked as a church secretary and then a head teller in a bank as she raised her five children. Then, she became a trooper for the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Yes, she carried a gun!
My mother was a strong woman. She's always had to be! You see, my father was an alcoholic and had another life apart from his family's on many occasions. But, my Mom was always there! She worked to keep food on the table, clothes on our backs, and a roof over our head. She worked hard to make sure her children had everything they needed.
I can't remember a year when she did not take us on a vacation. I grew up in South Mississippi, but every year she would take us to the beach in Destin, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, or Disney World in Orlando. She always managed to have fun with her children.
More than anything else, my mother instilled in me a love for Jesus Christ. She trusted in Him and taught us to do the same. She taught me that I had to put feet to my faith. She taught me that I could not stand by and ask God for something unless I was willing to do my part. She also taught me that the only way to true joy was to be in the center of God's will.
I have learned so much from my mother and I hope I have handed down some of her wisdom to my son. This Mother's Day, I want to say thank you to my mom! Thank you for always being there for me! Thank you for loving me and teaching me to love the Lord!
Personal Prayer Focus: Praise God for godly mothers who have made eternal investments in their children's lives.

Have You Ever Been Caught in A Blackout?
Have You Ever Been Caught in A Blackout? By Keith Cook
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:" 1 Peter 2:9
A blackout is a time when all of the lights go off. It can be a scary situation, but rest assured, when the lights go out, God wants you to know that there is a light for you.
In the Bible we see representation of spiritual blackouts related to sin, the earth, and death.
There was a blackout where the light of God went out in men's hearts because of sin. The blackout occurred when the men no longer followed God, but their own way, their own plan, and their own agenda. It is a catastrophe to have the light of God go out in your life.
The earth was also darkened when Jesus died on the cross. Jesus took all the sins of every man, woman, and child upon Himself, and the earth became dark. Spiritual darkness was defeated then. The true light of God shown brightly on all of mankind through Jesus Christ. The death and victorious resurrection of Jesus shown the light of God on life that was possible in Heaven for all mankind. It was now possible for fallen man to walk in the revealed light of God's pathway that leads to eternity with Him. Because Jesus paid for all of the sins of the entire world real light shattered the darkness.
The Bible also speaks of the darkness of death. Everyone is assured of a time when they will one day pass from this life into another. We all will face death. It is sure and we will enter into the darkness of death. According to the scripture, we should not live in defeat because of the threat of death, but we should live victoriously in the light of God. We should not live in fear of the blackout of death, because Jesus is the Light of the World. He will shine in the darkness.
He has provided for you and He will continue to show you the path that is illuminated by His love that leads all the way through this life but on through the door of death into eternity. If you come to Him and get to really know Him, then you will have victorious peace at the blackout of death and will awaken in the light of His presence. You do not have to fear death. The light of God's Son will shine the way!
Jesus loves you and He wants you to take the three steps that leads through the darkness into real light.
1. Admit that you are a sinner and cannot save yourself.
2. Believe in Jesus Christ as God's only Son and your Savior.
3. Confess your sins before God and call upon Him to save you.
You can shine the light on your life today and vanquish the darkness by taking these three steps right now. Turn the light on by praying today. "Dear God I have sinned against you and I have a dirty sinful heart. I realize you sent Jesus Christ your Son to die on the cross, shed His blood for me, and pay for all my sins so that I may have a clean heart and eternal life. I invite Christ into my heart right now and accept Him and what He did for me. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus and cleanse it. Thank you for giving me a new life, a clean heart, and eternal life in Heaven. In Jesus name, Amen."
If you prayed to receive Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Savior today, we would love to know about it. Please email us or contact us at the phone number or address listed below. We rejoice with you in your decision to follow Christ and would like to send you some free materials which will be vital tools you can use in your walk with God.
Personal Prayer Focus: Pray that others will see the light of Christ transparent in your life and that they will be drawn to Him.
On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go's "Adopt An Evangelist" program. This program provides funding and support for various missions and evangelists around the world.

Called to Pray - National Day of Prayer
Called to Pray - National Day of Prayer by the Staff of On The Go and the Presidential Prayer Team
The Staff at On The Go Ministries, the Presidential Prayer Team, and the National Day of Prayer Task Force would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the "National Day of Prayer"!
"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord's glory, as the waters cover the sea." Habakkuk 2:14
"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
Today is the day set aside as the National Day of Prayer across America. Prayer is a powerful weapon. Prayer can break through strongholds, which have stood firm for years. God wants His Children to become mighty, active prayer warriors! The National Day of Prayer theme this year is Pray God's Glory Across the Earth. The mission of the National Day of Prayer is mobilizes unified public prayer for America.
The National Day of Prayer has a rich history, dating from the first declaration of a day of prayer and fasting that was implemented by George Washington to President Lincoln's call for prayer and fasting during the Civil War to the modern-day declaration signed into law by President Harry Truman in 1952. As we pray for America whose pledge of allegiance states that we are "one nation under God," and whose currency states that it is "in God we trust," we want Americans to encounter the God who rules over their country.
Prayer is an opportunity to humbly come before God and confess all sins and to praise God for His mighty works, His gift of freedom, His mercy, and His boundless love. Through prayer, we recognize the limits of earthly power and acknowledge the sovereignty of God. Prayer leads to humility and a grateful heart, and it turns our minds to the needs of others.
As our nation looks to the future, the need for prayer remains high. This year the National Day of Prayer Task Force has chosen Seven Centers of Influence in Our Nation to help us stay focused and intentional as we Pray God's Glory Across the Earth.

Suggested Prayer for The National Day of Prayer
Lord, we exist to give You glory. We exist because of Your glory and in Your glory, as our Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer. We give you thanks and praise for every breath and moment You have given to us. We repent of our sin; for the shameful things we have done against You and for our silence when we did not speak up to proclaim Your Name, profess Your Word, or Protect and Practice Your will. We ask Your forgiveness.
We pray the the knowledge of the glory of the Lord will spread across our nation and the entire earth as we seek Your Kingdom and righteousness,; as we walk in obedience to You, and in humble unity, love one another. Jesus, the Bible says that You are "the knowledge of the glory of the Lord." You have taught us to pray, commanded us to love, and commissioned us to share Your gospel of grace. Your glory fills our hearts and families., it overflows into our neighborhoods, workplaces, campuses, churches, in our entertainment, and media. We give thanks for our military and ask that Your glory would spread to, and through them as they preserve freedom around the world. We pray for our government, that all of our leaders and laws would be filled with your Glory, that they would magnify Your Holy Word and honor Your will and ways. We pray that Your grace and glory would spread to bring hope to the hopeless, and love where there is hurt and hate. God, use us as we pray your promise, that "the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord,as the waters cover the sea. Amen!
