Intercessory Prayer

News Event: Keith Cook will be holding Revival Services at First Baptist Church in Bells, Tennessee on August 5-8, 2012.

Intercessory Prayer by Laurie McTier

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." Romans 8:26

While on a mission trip to San Pedro Mexico, God allowed our team various venues of ministry throughout the week. As the team ministered, I was reminded of the necessity of prayer warriors. In order for our ministry to be effective, we have to be dependent upon the frequent prayers of our family and friends back home. They serve as a vital part of our team.

While in Mexico, we had the privilege of visiting many of the church families who had illnesses or specific needs. We fellowshipped with them and were able to pray with each of them as well. During our last visit, my heart was touched, as we prayed with a lady whom I felt was very malnourished and near death. Her needs were so great that we did not know how to begin to pray for her. My heart was burdened for her and her young family. We had an opportunity to see God's Spirit at work. During the Sunday evening service, I received word that this lady was present. My eyes filled with tears as this once weak and feeble woman was standing, with her arms raised, praising God for His healing strength. What a Mighty God we serve!

My challenge to you today is that you become a Prayer Warrior. As God places family and friends on your heart, pray for them. Know that God has placed them on your heart specifically for a reason, and that is to pray for them.

Where there is prayer, there is power. Where there is no prayer, there is no power.

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray for those who are in need. Stand with them as a Prayer Warrior.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Crusade USA. God has placed a United States effort on the heart and mind of the On The Go Team. Three Key Objectives for Crusade USA are sharing, praying and training. This week, Keith and the team will be leading a Crusade at First Baptist Church in Bells, Tennessee. Pray for Keith as he preaches the Word that God will give him discernment, sensitivity, power, and boldness to preach the Gospel.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.
