Wisdom From Above by Keith Cook
"Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy." James 3:13,17
I do not know very many people that would say they do not want to be wise. The wisdom that we as Christians try to obtain is different than the world's wisdom. You see, the Bible tells us exactly how to be wise! It's hard at times to choose wisdom from above when the world's way is easier.
Wisdom From Above can be Characteristics:
Pure
Peaceable
Gentle
Willing to Yield
Full of Mercy
Full of Good Fruits
Without Partiality
Without Hypocrisy
Folly From Below Yields:
Done from wrong motives
Always warring with others
Harsh
Having to have your own way
Merciless
Fruitless
Judging Others
Being something you're not
Everyday we have a choice to make. We can choose the wisdom from above or the folly from below! Let's choose wisdom!
Daily Prayer Focus: Pray for God Given Wisdom to Rule in your heart. Pray for wisdom that is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, merciful, full of fruit, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go's Outreach Training Schools (OTS). In our OTS, young people and adults are trained to go to the next level in their service to God. Pray for On The Go as we train believers to make a difference in their generation. This weekend Keith and Joan will be hosting an OTS at the Revival Center in Tullahoma, TN. Pray that God will equip and challenge each participant to go to the next level in their service to God and their community.
