Ten Talents & Endless Possibilities by Keith Cook Jr.

³...Do business till I come.² Luke 19:13

According to joshuaproject.net, there are 6.73 billion people on earth. Out of those 6.73 billion, 2.74 billion fall into the catagory of Unreached or Least-Reached. That's 2.74 billion people who have possibly never heard the gospel.

What a glorious blessing to be the one who is able to reach out to some of these unreached people. Although the task can seem at times burdensome we are given strength to persevere and finish the race we have been commanded to run. Don't allow the devil to manipulate you into thinking someone else will go and share the good news with them or allow you to forget about this mission altogether.

In Luke 19:11-27 Jesus told the disciples a parable about a nobleman who had ten talents. The nobleman gave his servants ten talents or coins before he left on a long journey. He was expecting the servants to use what he had given them wisely and to multiply his investment.

As we see upon his return the coins were not given to be buried (hidden) and kept out of reach (safe) but to be used to create (invest, expand, reach out) more coins.

This parable also applies to us today. We do not have to look very far to notice that there are many people who need what we have, the Gospel. The Gospel is God's saving power for them. We have been given so much more than coins. We have been give the great opportunity to give away the good news of salvation in Christ Jesus.

Because of God's grace towards us we are now given the command to go for Him. "Go and make disciples of all nations" today.(Matt. 28:19) He has given us more than ten talents. He has given us unlimited possibilities and scores of opportunities around us. We need to take the talents given, allow the Holy Spirit to lead and empower us, and invest them in winning the lost and serving the Lord.

Not Over Stuff by Keith Cook Sr.

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 30, 2010

Not Over Stuff by Keith Cook Sr.

"Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice!" Philippians 4:4

Recently my wife and I were hit with several financial and personal setbacks in a row. And to make matters worse - right in the middle of severe pain and need - our car, while I was on a mission trip, threw a rod and the motor was completely ruined. The mechanic said the car was essentially totaled.

We were dumbfounded as to what was going on and why God had seemed to abandon us. We were in the work of the Lord, striving to follow the Master but the bottom was falling out from under us.

Right in the middle of our greatest pain God took me to His Word - words that I had stored in my heart - and out from my lips came, "We must rejoice in the Lord always!" The words were a hard pill to swallow. Both Joan and I wanted to scream, snarl, and break something but what came out of my mouth and into our lives was to rejoice and praise our Lord. After a time of prayer, Joan went on her way.

Within a short time I received a phone call from her and she told me that God had shown her that it is His will that we not stress out and worry over Stuff. She said "I am not going to get sad or mad over Stuff."

We have so much, each of us, to praise God for. We have our faith. We have our family. We have our fellow believers and friends. God has seeded into each of our lives an abundance of treasures and bounty to live off of when things get tough or lean.

You can ponder and be concerned over many things but God does not want us to panic over the troubles of life. He wants us to see our blessings and rejoice in Him. When we do - we soon will see the deliverance of the Lord and the victory and rewards that come from obeying and following Him.

Daily Prayer Focus: Praise God for His Blessings and choose to Rejoice in Him.

On The Go Prayer Focus: The Finances of Team as they boldly go out for Jesus Christ. Pray that all their needs will be met at home and for the projects they are working on.

Your Personal SHARE Tools by Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 29, 2010

Your Personal SHARE Tools by Keith Cook

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Matthew 6:19-21

God has given each of us personal share tools through which we can share our faith in Jesus Christ. Today, lets look at some of these tools and how we can best utilize them to further the Kingdom of God.

A. Your Body - Our bodies are the temple of the Lord. We have been designed by God to use our bodies in service to the Lord. With our lips we praise Him. Our mouths are used to speak for Him. Our eyes are used to look at the needs around us as well as to examine the scriptures. Our hands are used to reach out for Him, and our feet are to be used to go for Him.

B. The Bible - God gave us His Word to bless us and to lead us in all the ways we are to go. In the Bible we learn how to live, work, witness, and experience God.

C. Prayer - In prayer we can move the hand of God to the needs of man. God has given us the gift of prayer to allow us to speak to Him and to hear from Him.

D. Spiritual Gifts - To each has been given spiritual gifts to glorify God in their bodies. Seek out the Lord to discover your primary ministry gift and serve Him with all your heart. All gifts are given to bless the needy and win converts to our Lord.

E. God Given Talents - God has equipped each believer with wonderful talents that can be used to bring honor to Christ. Some have great voices to sing and proclaim His name. Some have organization skills and administrative tendencies to plan and direct great projects. Many have compassion and artistic expressions that God can use. Use every gift you have in service to the King of Kings.

F. The Spirit of God - Once someone comes to Christ they have all the Power of the Holy Spirit to minister in fullness and truth. You are not left alone to minister for Christ. You have a guide, comforter, and counselor. Allow the Spirit to move you to service.

G. Your Life - Every area of your life has been given to you to be used of God. Be a good steward of all you have been given. One day you should desire to hear the Lord say, "Well done my good and faithful steward."

Use each of these personal share tools to honor and serve the Lord each day.

Daily Prayer Focus: Praise God for the opportunity to serve Him today. Pray that you will glorify God by your Body, Bible, Prayer, Spiritual Gifts, and your Life and use them today for His Service.

On The Go Prayer Focus: The Families of the On The Go staff. Pray for their emotions, finances, safety, wisdom, and spiritual health.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Rain Forest by Joan Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 28, 2010

Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Rain Forest by Joan Cook

"Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig-tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.'" Matthew 21:21

A few years ago on a mission project to Costa Rica, our team had the opportunity to go into the rain forest. We boarded a six person aerial tram that was to take us two miles into the rain forest and then turn and come two miles back out. How excited we all were to see the beautiful plants, flowers, wildlife, and beauty of the rain forest. We even saw Toucans! Our tram climbed to the top of the rain forest so we could have an overview of the beauty!

We had traveled about a mile and a half when it began to storm! It was thundering and lightning so badly we were afraid it would strike the tram. About that time, Kaboom! Our tram came to a stop one hundred feet above the ground! We waited for the rain to subside for our tram to begin again, but when the rain ended, our tram remained still! For three hours we were stuck waiting for the problem to be fixed.

Our tour guide informed us that help was on the way, but we would have to rappel out of the cable car one hundred feet to the ground! My son, who was 21 at the time, threw his hands in the air, and said with excitement, "I can't believe I'm in the rain forest in Costa Rica, stuck in a cable car, 100 feet up in the air and I get to rappel"! At the same time, the response of a 40 year old woman (myself), was, "I can't believe I'm in the rain forest in Costa Rica, stuck in a cable car, 100 feet up in the air and I have to rappel!" Needless to say, we all made it to the ground and out of the rain forest safely!

Isn't that just like our response to God sometimes? "God, you've brought me this far and I know you're taking care of me, but you want me to do what? You want me to just jump out of my comfort zone and let you do the rest? God, do you know how hard, how scary, how uncomfortable that is for me?" God would rather us have the attitude my son had of excitement and anticipation of what He wants to do in and through us!

The Lord knows what our potential is in Him and He also knows our limitations! God is telling us to break out of our comfort zone and step out in faith knowing He will be there to catch us! Take that first leap of faith; He'll do the rest!

Daily Prayer Focus: Lord, thank you that you are always there for me when it is time to step out of my comfort zone.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Keith Cook Events. Pray for Keith as he ministers through hands-on training opportunities. This is the mobile, active division of our Outreach Training department. This week Keith and the team are ministering at Botsford Baptist Church in Georgia. Pray that God will challenge the hearts of those to whom they will be ministering to that they might see the need for greater involvement in evangelism.

Am I Going To Please God or Man by Carey Smith

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 27, 2010

Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Am I Going To Please God or Man by Carey Smith

"O the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him. Then these men said, 'We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.'" Daniel 6:4-5

Do you wonder how others see you? Are you afraid they judge you as unwise or inconsiderate? Do you make every effort in the world to make people like you? Many of us are so concerned about what other people think, especially when it involves what they think about us.

God is concerned with how others view you. There is a specific thing God wants others to see when they look at you. In 1 Peter 3:15-16, it says, "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander."

Do you see the key words in here? They are "In Christ."

God wants others to see the glory of His Son in us. When the administrators tried to find something against Daniel, they could find nothing. Even they admitted the only thing they could do was order a law that would make Daniel choose between God and man, and they knew Daniel would choose God. But just as in Daniel's case, it is guaranteed that if you live your life as God desires, some will not like you, in fact, they will hate you.

So when we concern ourselves about how others see us, we need to ask ourselves, am I going to please God or man?

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that you will maintain your focus as a Christian. Pray that your primary concern today will be to please and honor God in all that you say and do.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Keith and the team as they continue revival services at Botsford Baptist Church in Georgia. Pray for God to move in a mighty way among the hearts of believers and unbelievers.

The Next Step! - By Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 26, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

The Next Step! - By Keith Cook

"Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given us let each exercise them accordingly." Romans 12:6

Have you ever been on a mission project for God or been a part of a unique outreach event? Do you remember the, "What do I do now?" feeling, after the event was over?

I want to ask you to think about what God may be calling you to do long term as a result of your past mission projects or similar services for God.

What has God shown you about yourself as you have ministered?

What has God shown you about your ministry skills and calling?

Where is God leading you to minister next?

Let me offer a few suggestions.

1. God wants you to minister to your family by sharing with them all that you can remember about your ministry experiences. Begin to think of stories and fun things that God did or people you met that impressed you. You can also minister to them by showing them your life and example of how much God has focused you and how He has worked in your life.

2. God wants you to minister to your home church. You owe it to your friends and fellow Christians back home to come back fired up and full of new ideas and commitment for the work of God. Help start a fire in your local church. At least two people should catch your fire and pass on your legacy of service for God.

3. God wants you to minister for life. Once you have caught the mission and evangelism bug you can never be cured. You will always know that your life can make a difference if you are "on the go!"

As you go out for God remember these three things and God will take you to the next step for you in Christian service.

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that God would tell you where to go and minister next. Plan early. Start saving now. So many people never get to go for God because they plan too late.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Crusade USA. God has placed a United States effort on the heart and mind of the On The Go Team. Three Key Objectives for Crusade USA are sharing, praying and training. This week, Keith and the team will be leading a Crusade at Botsford Baptist Church in Georgia. Pray for Keith as he preaches the Word that God will give him discernment, sensitivity, power, and boldness to preach the Gospel.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Compassion - by Laurie McTier

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 25, 2010

Compassion - by Laurie McTier

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18,19

Compassion allows us to identify with our brothers and sisters. We learn to suffer when they suffer and rejoice when they rejoice. Christ related to their suffering as He sensed their heart cries.

In a message using the illustration of the friends of the paralytic man in the New Testament, C. H. Spurgeon writes: "We can not be of any use, we wish we could preach." Those men could not preach! They did not need to preach. They lowered the paralytic man and their work was done. They could not preach, but they could hold a rope.

In the Christian church we want not only preachers, but soul winners who can bear souls and feel the solemn burden, men who maybe cannot talk, but who can weep; men who do not break men's hearts with their language, but who can break their own hearts with their compassion."

True mission work is rooted in whole-hearted heart service for our God.

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that God will give you His vision, His heart, and His compassion so that you can utilize your spiritual gifts effectively for His Kingdom.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Pray for Keith and the team as they minister at Botsford Baptist Church in Georgia this week. Pray for sensitivity to God¹s Spirit as Keith prepares the messages for each service.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

A Fragrance of Christ - Joan Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion For July 24, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

A Fragrance of Christ - Joan Cook

"For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;" 2 Corinthians 2:15

Recently, a wonderful Jamaican friend of ours named Winsome came to the United States to attend our GoCamp. We have known Winsome for a number of years from her church in which we minister in Jamaica. Winsome has a handicap. She is only two feet tall and is a dwarf or midget. It was only when she came to stay with us that I began to realize how hard many everyday tasks are for her to do. For example, getting in and out of a car is a chore that takes her a lot of time.

Since this was Winsome's first visit to America, there were many things that were new to her. It was kind of like taking a child to Disney World for the very first time. Everything was so exciting to her! It was a lot of fun to see her expressions as she saw or experienced something new. The day before Winsome left to go home, I had the opportunity to take her to the mall.

As we got out of the car and began walking into the mall, I realized how far the department store must have seemed. I walked very slowly with her to the door and throughout the store to the escalator. When we finally reached it, Winsome looked up to the top and said to me, "I am afraid to get on this because it is so high, I might fall. There is no handrail for me to hold on to." I assured her I would hold her hand and make sure she did not fall. Once again, I began to realize that the small everyday tasks that may seem insignificant to me seemed like giants to her.

In the couple of weeks that Winsome was in America, she reminded me of many things! The first was how important it is to convey a Godly attitude to those around you. Not once did she complain or have a bad attitude because of her handicap. How many times do we complain or murmur when something is not going our way? Winsome also reminded me to be grateful for the body God has given me. How many times do we look at our bodies and instead of thanking God, we are ungrateful because of the flaws we think we have?

God made each and everyone of us unique, flaws and all! Let us praise Him with all of our mind, body, soul, and strength!

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that your attitude will radiate the love of Christ to others and we will love the person God created us to be so that we can love others the way He would have us to!

On The Go Prayer Focus: Praise God for the decisions and victories that have been won this week at GoCamp. Pray that the campers will have boldness to implement the tools that they have learned and that God will open doors for each of them to serve more effectively in their schools, homes, and churches.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

"There Shall Be A Performance" by Keith Cook Sr.

On The Go Daily Devotion For July 23, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

"There Shall Be A Performance" by Keith Cook Sr.

³And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.² Luke 1:45

In your life today God is wanting to be the director, producer, and only sponsor. He eagerly desires to play these key roles in the development of your life script.

If it is your desire to invite God to take over the production of your life performance there are several key points to understand.

First must come the Presence of the Lord.

This is where you get insight, fellowship, and relationship. He will speak. Will you listen?

Then comes Belief.

Believing and trusting Gods word, precepts and instructions secure an automatic guarantee of spiritual success.

Believing God always comes after being in His presence. You can not help but rely and trust what He says.

Why some do not believe God:

1. They never hear - Satan, self, and situations scream so loudly that people allow them to shut off the normal ways God speaks to us: prayer, study, reflection, being still, relaxing, in fellowship, through peers, or through the Spirit.

2. They never listen - their lives are too cluttered and busy. They fail to spend time or make time to listen to what God has to say. Daily life, work, family, internet, facebook, twitter, hobbies, television, texting, and more crowds out the opportunity to listen and hear from God.

3. They never wait - they get anxious and often run ahead of God and react in the flesh, panic and make a bad decision, or completely miss God's best for them by making a soulish and carnal decision.

4. They never get outside their own needs and wants - being selfish robs you of the joy of the Lord and often the key insights and help you need to make wise and prudent decisions under Christ.

5. They never submit to Gods authority and word - this is the most basic definition of a sinner. Yes this is sin and sin still has its penalty.

Having the presence of God and faith that believes God then will lead to the performance that is so badly needed.

Performance means:
God's will getting done
God's power being demonstrated
God getting the glory
God's vessel being strengthened

There will be a performance!
You can count on God
You will see His will being done
You will be amazed

Join in Gods concert!
His performance is only for the Sold Out.
His performance will last forever!
Encore guaranteed.

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that God¹s will is done, God¹s power is demonstrated, God is Glorified, and that you are strengthened today in your walk with God! Acknowledge His Presence.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Divine Interventions this week during our GoCamp in Mississippi. Pray for Boldness as our campers utilize evangelism tools that they are learning this week during GoCamp.

An Empty House Invites - By Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 22, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

An Empty House Invites - By Keith Cook

"Now when the unclean spirit...says, 'I will return to my house from which I came'; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation." Matthew 12: 43-45

Most of us work on staying clean for God's work and service but sometimes we forget to get filled up for service.

SWEPT THINGS

Sweeping our lives out sometimes includes an overemphasis on

1) Positive thinking (I'm ok now, I can do it)

2) Sorrow for past mistakes (I'm just no good, God can't use me...)

3) Embarrassment at being caught in sin in the past (No conviction just humiliation)

WORSE THINGS

Worse things that can come to us when we are empty and not full of Jesus can include many of the following:

1) Laziness

2) Idleness

3) Loss of Opportunity

4) Sin

5) Procrastination

6) Lack of Productivity

7) Loss of First Love

8) Loss of the Filling of the Holy Spirit

(Are any of these in your life now?)

FULL THINGS

Get filled up today. How? Confess all known sin. Believe what God says about you: You are forgiven and useful. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and guide you all day as you serve God. Now Go! Go out boldly!

Things that will help you: Have your Quiet Time, take time for Bible Study, allow Mentors to train you, look for ways to Share your faith.

Daily Prayer Focus: Father, I want to be used by you, fill me today.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Pray for each participant in our GoCamp this week in Mississippi. Pray that our campers will have Open Eyes and Receptive Hearts to all that God wants to show them this week. Pray that each camper will be challenged to impact their generation for Christ.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

The Check is in the Mail by Laurie McTier

"And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

Recently, I had the opportunity to direct one of On The Go's mission outreach teams. The team ministered in several churches and schools outside of a major city. One week before the team left, one of the pastors called our office and asked that we would paint the church during our outreach. Our initial response was "Certainly, we would love to." Then, reality set in. Before leaving the States, we needed to have an extra $500 to cover the expenses of the paint supplies.

I made several phone calls requesting supporters to pray that God would supply for our need. Two days before the team left, I remember praying for God to work a miracle and supply the money needed. I felt led to pray for the individual to be sensitive to the Lord, and obedient to His will. Later that afternoon, a dear friend called our office. Her exact words were, "Laurie, I owe you an apology. I need to send you some money. I thought that I had already sent this to you, but just today I realized I never sent the check."

In talking with her, I shared our need for the church. God was in complete control, because what she was sending was the exact amount needed to purchase the paint. The check was in the mail. God had prepared her heart for the need that I would share with her. To God Be the Glory!

God's timing is always perfect. He is rarely early, never late, but always right on time. As we are dependent upon Him for needs in our life, He allows us to see His hand at work in mighty ways.

Daily Prayer Focus: Praise God that He knows our needs, even before we are aware of them. Praise God that He is our Jehovah Jireh, our Provider.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Those who need to make decisions for Christ as On The Go and the Keith Cook Team shares the Gospel around the world. Pray that they will hear a clear message about Christ, that the Holy Spirit will move them to a point of decision and that they will be bold enough to publicly respond for Christ.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

The Ritz - Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 20, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

The Ritz - Keith Cook

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light." Matthew 11:28-30

Recently, God blessed my family with a great opportunity to stay at the Ritz Carlton in Jamaica. While on a mission project the manager there wanted to bless us with a great deal because my wife had been ministering on the island for so long. We quickly accepted their offer. (We actually stayed there cheaper than what the local Christian camp would charge us!) This place is a dream hotel. I have never stayed in a more luxurious place.

When we work in a country or in a neighborhood we totally submerge ourselves in the work. We do not think of our comfort. We often eat our food out of the can that it came in and some of our meals come out of our backpacks if they come at all. It is not very glamorous. The work is hot, long, tiring, and demanding, yet very rewarding.

On this particular project in Jamaica it was such a blessing to be able to share each day and be completely worn out with ministry fatigue and then come back to a "home" that was clean, cool, peaceful.

It sort of reminded me of what the angels must experience when they work on the earth and then get to go back to Heaven. Can you imagine being in the presence of God? How majestic, how absolutely wonderful it must be hard to leave His presence and actually go on His errands.

Each of us have been called to come close to God and have fellowship with Him but we also are called to go out for Him and do His will among the people. As we go for Christ we are assured that as we get tired and weary we can come back home to Him and renew our strength.

1. What has God asked you to do for Him lately?

2. Have you done it?

3. When was the last time you had a "Ritz" experience with God? (A time of rest and reflection in the middle of working for Him.)

There may be those on earth who dress better or eat better, but those who enjoy the peace of God sleep better. L. Thomas Holdcroft, Page 183, Thoughts, McLellan

Daily Prayer Focus: Thank God that He delights in blessing you with "Ritz" experiences throughout your journey of life.

On The Go Prayer Focus: All the local churches, committees, and leaders who will be working with On The Go Ministries and the Keith Cook Team in creative outreach efforts in the United States and around the world.

Labor of Love by Laurie McTier

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 19, 2010

Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Labor of Love by Laurie McTier

"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom." Ecclesiastes 9:10

The Bible says that all hard work leads to profit and mere talk leads to poverty. Mere talk leads to many things such as hopelessness, drought, sin of not following through, and possibly eternal death.

On the other side of the scale, labor yields profit, seeds planted and a bountiful harvest, obedience, blessing, eternal life, hope.

As we look back on the events of September 11, 2001, our heart grieves for the innocent victims murdered in the disastrous attack upon our country. I believe that God has opened our eyes to many needs for young people and adults to turn to Him wholeheartedly. God has given us this window of opportunity to share our faith to those to whom He has already ripened and prepared for harvest.

As we celebrated into the new millennium and went into the year 2000, it was so exciting to observe different races and cultures around the world ring in the new year. Now, we have a new countdown in effect. This can be referred to as the Countdown for God's Work.

The destiny clock is ticking, the window of opportunity is passing by more quickly than we choose to consider. I challenge you to take advantage of this window of opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ with those within your circle of influence. I know that you will be glad you did as it will yield eternal revenues.

Daily Prayer Focus: Ask God to show you some great or small thing to do for someone else today. Look around!

Praise God in the Midst of Suffering by Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 18, 2010

Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Praise God in the Midst of Suffering by Keith Cook

"For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps." 1 Peter 2:21

Hard conditions and situations in life are often used by God to show us just how blessed we are and also how selfish and self centered we can be.

Many times in ministry situations we find ourselves saying "I could be back in Niceville, eating bon bons and watching 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' reruns." The truth is you can always be somewhere else, rather than following God's direction, but you would not be in God's perfect will for your life!

In the Bible three boys were about to be roasted in a fiery furnace, yet they chose the heat over the comforts of life and happiness.

Where we come from may be better than where we are, but we will have it better where we are going. You see, we are going to Heaven one day where the streets are paved with gold and mansions line those streets.

If you are serving God today in a foreign land on a mission trip or simply in your own neighborhood you are where you are so that someone else might walk down those streets of gold with you.

All the people you will see today deserve to see you praising God in the midst of your "suffering."

No matter what you may be enduring, lack of money, no friends, bad job, hot climate, etc... God can use you to bless someone. You have been called for a purpose, and that is to glorify God in your body.

What areas of your life are areas of suffering?

What areas of your life are areas of blessing?

What is God calling you to do for Him in the middle of all your suffering and blessings?

Praise always leads to service.

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray for Divine Appointments today so that you might share your testimony with others and share God's promises with them.

On The Go Prayer Focus: The 30 Minute Radio & Podcast Program "On The Go with Keith Cook". This is a weekly program airing over the internet, short wave, and radio stations. A Way Out of No Way Out by Jimmy Bates

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 17, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

A Way Out of No Way Out by Jimmy Bates

"Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today... The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent." Exodus 14:13-14

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt there is no way out? Have you ever felt that if something didn't change in your present circumstances then your future would be in doubt? I am reminded of a trip I took to Kenya a few years ago when the devil tried to convince me that I was in a no way out situation. I had been in prayer about this project and had gotten a word of direction from God that I was supposed to go. My finances were real tight and the cost of the project was a considerable amount.

I knew for certain that God had told me to go and the devil didn't want me to. The devil tried to distract me by tempting me to panic and focus on my finances. God wanted me to focus on His promises and obeying him and to trust Him. The project money all came in and I even had a few dollars more than I actually needed.

Dear friend, just like in this scripture, the devil tried to get me to focus on my present circumstances and think I was in a no way out situation. God will accomplish His promise to you and He wants you not to focus on what your eyes see or what the devil tries to tell you.

Moses told the children of Israel:

Don't Fear - Fear can paralyze you to a point where you're afraid to go forward. This kind of fear traps you into believing the situation is hopeless. Just like the children of Israel the devil tried to get me focused on what I could see. God tells us not to fear because He will accomplish His promise of making a way out of what we may believe is a no way out situation. God is more than able to part the Red Sea of your situation.

Stand - The Hebrew word in this scripture means to literally stand with firmness and confidence and not to be troubled. The devil would try to disturb our confidence and to get us to the point of panic. God was reminding me as He led me to this passage that He had given me the call to go Kenya and to rely on His provision. Dear friend, when we have prayed through the situation we can stand with confidence and know that God's deliverance is always moving forward into the direction of promise and destiny.

Keep Silent - The Hebrew word for silent in this scripture means to hold your peace and remain at rest. It basically means to shut up and do not panic. When we think we are in a no way out situation we literally can talk ourselves into believing the situation is hopeless. The devil tried to get me to openly confess with my mouth that what God gave me as a promise of direction to go to Kenya was really a no way situation. God said remain at rest, be still and listen to My voice, confess My promise, and set out in the direction of your destiny. As a good friend of mine said, God is never too late with too little. He is always on time with what you need.

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray for those caught in bad situations that God will show them what to do.

On The Go Prayer Focus: The GoTeam Short Term Missions Projects and GoTeam Members. GoTeams are made up of young people and adults who voluntarily go on an On The Go mission project around the world and are making a strategic impact for Christ.

Christian Responsibility! by Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 16, 2010

Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Christian Responsibility! by Keith Cook

"Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap, if we do not grow weary. While we have time let us do good to all men..." Galatians 6:9,10

Our future is as bright as the promises of God. God wants us to know that He is here for us, Ready for us, and There is something beyond this present day! It is called Heaven and it is prepared for those of us who know Him.

Your future is secure if your future is in Him. So cheer up, you can get out of here, when He wants you. But until He wants you, He is with you. So, what can befall you that does not first come through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Why should we be discouraged, if God be for you, who can be against you?

What does your future hold? More opportunities, more open doors, more trials, more obstacles, more experiences to see that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Do not hide this week from your Christian responsibilities but loudly celebrate, lovingly care, laboriously cultivate and longingly communicate your faith.

You should Loudly Celebrate and Rejoice in the Life you have in Christ.

You can Lovingly Care for every person you come in contact with this week.

You must Laboriously Cultivate friendships and relationships that God can divinely use for the Kingdom and cultivate our own knowledge of the Word and Ways of God. You must Longingly Communicate the love of Christ to all who will listen.

1. Are you ready to be responsible for doing your part as a Christian to minister for Christ this week?

2. What must you do to be ready at all times to be used of God?

3. Rate yourself as to how responsible you have been in the past in doing what God would have you do in ministry for Him.

4. Rate your Christian life in general!

God wants you to do good to all men!

Daily Prayer Focus: God give us sensitive hearts so that we may hear your instruction as we seek Your will for our lives today. Be responsible and obedient to His direction.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Praise God for the boldness He has given to each of our team members as they have ministered this week in Middle Tennessee. Please pray for their safe journey back home.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

The Cardinal Rules by Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 15, 2010

Keith Cook Evangelistic Association /On The Go

The Cardinal Rules by Keith Cook

"But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you: to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to obey his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and all your soul." Joshua 22:5

Each morning before I go to work I take a glance out into my back yard to see how my wild birds are doing. They really are not my wild birds nor are they all that wild. They are free and not controlled by me yet they are not ferocious or wild in a terrible sense.

They are exciting in an animal kingdom kind of way but also calm and harmless in my domestic neighborhood. Every day I see them eat, drink, fly, sing and call, build nest, fight off predators, and explore the neighborhood skies. Each bird and species is quite unique and special to me. Yet, there is one kind of bird that makes my heart dance. It is the Northern Cardinal. It has a majestic pointed head, long powerful wings and tail along with a bright read coat. They are usually full bodied and sit tall on the ground or in the trees.

I love looking at the Robins, Mockingbirds, Bluejays, Morning Doves, FInches, and the other winged creatures that visit my yard each day but the Cardinal makes me the happiest. Each day is not complete unless I can spot him in the bird bath or sitting on a bird feeder getting seed. If I do not see him I wonder if he has been harmed or has flown off to a new yard and will never return. What joy fills my heart when I can catch a quick glance and know that he is ok and still sitting tall.

In a spiritual way so too is our relationship with Christ.

Everyday our Lord longs to see us and He wants to greet us.

He wants to feed us on His word. He wants to offer us living water to cool our parched souls and spirits.

We are the apple of His eye and he delights in us and wants to spend time with us.

Just like, in the Bible, when the shepherd notices one of his sheep missing and goes off and searches for it until he finds it so does our Saviour search and long for us.

Also our desire to see Jesus should be the same. We should long to meet with Him each day. Be disappointed when we can not spend time with Him. He should make our heart dance and give us a joyful song.

One of the most unique things about our almighty God is that to Him all of us are special. Every man and woman are the most important creature He has made - individually.

There is an all powerful, all knowing and awesome God-only ability to be all places at the same time. That makes it possible for God to love us most while loving someone else the same way. I do not understand it but it is true. God is able.

If God loves you so much why not love Him back in the most humble and obedient way. The Bible says that obeying God is better than to bringing Him sacrifices. It also says we are to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. What God wants is for us to love Him and obey Him out of commitment and loyalty.

Today make God special in your life because you already are to Him!

Daily Prayer Focus: Praise God for His unending, eternal love. Renew your commitment to God today to serve Him in obedience wholeheartedly.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Pray for each participant in our Middle Tennessee Outreach this week. Pray that they will have Open Eyes and Receptive Hearts to all that God wants to show them this week. Pray that each team member will be challenged to impact their generation for Christ.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Feeding The Birds by Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 14, 2010

Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Feeding The Birds by Keith Cook

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Matthew 6:26

Lately I have been inundated with back to nature experiences. I have been stalked by a hawk, greeted by a Pileated Woodpecker, dodged deer on the road, and swam with dolphins.

I decided that it was time for me to do my part to keep the wild animals alive and well. So down to the local wild bird store I went, bought some organic gourmet bird seed, several bird feeders and set out to feed birds in my back yard.

Prior to setting up my feeding stations I had never seen more than a few birds in my yard at a time. After setting up my four feeders a wonderful backyard transformation took place. I no longer had a yard like Noah's Ark, with birds two by two, now I had scores of birds flocking to my "sanctuary." It has been quite comical to see all the birds fighting and fluttering to get to the seeds.

The first day the bird feeders were up I noticed about ten birds at a time at the feeders. They were enjoying the free lunch. I wanted the birds to have a cool drink with their seed so I went out, bought, and installed a bird bath. After a few days with an abundance of food and water the party was in full swing.

Now, after almost a month of feeding and watering the birds, I am still enjoying the experience and they seem to like it too. It seems that each day more and more birds are coming to be feed at my feeders. They have become old friends. I look for each one. Joan has even gotten into watching and listening to them. They really chatter at us when the feeders are empty. They also are not as jittery when we are outside in their proximity.

Where we use to have a handful of birds we now have twenty or thirty at a time and they are eating like crazy. They seem to enjoy the food, water, and attention and it is good for me to see them and relax and enjoy God's creation.

As my little wild birds are fed each day so can we be fed by the Word of God. This is vital and important for us as Christians. There is nothing like it. God has given us the Word to help us grow and enjoy the Christian life. Just like my little wild birds need seed to feed on so we need to feed on God's divinely inspired word. It will sustain us over the long haul of life.

You will gain more and more insights into God's will for your life if you will keep with a regular and consistent Bible study time. Each day you need to feast on God's Word and delve into the riches of it's pages. In the Bible the mysteries of life are revealed and the pathway to spiritual prosperity is illuminated. Do not neglect or not avail yourself to such a wonder diet.

Jesus Christ wants to feed you today. Make sure you come to the table!

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that God will open your eyes and ears to feast on His Word today and show You specifically the word that He has for you.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Keith Cook Crusades, Celebrations, and Festivals. God has given Keith the opportunity and privilege of sharing the message of Christ both stateside and internationally. Today, On The Go will be hosting a Family Fun Festival at the Kirkpatrick Center in Nashville, Tennessee from 4:00-6:00. During each opportunity, Keith presents a joyful and enthusiastic, yet powerful and clear presentation of the Gospel and a call to commitment to Christ.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Where Does Your Motivation Lie by Laurie McTier

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 13, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Where Does Your Motivation Lie by Laurie McTier

"And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up." 1 Corinthians 13:3,4

What motivates you to action? Are you moved when you see the needs of others? Do you respond out of a heart of love and compassion, or out of guilt and a sense of responsibility? The Bible says that without love, our service will be unprofitable. Unless we are motivated by our love for Jesus Christ, we will quickly grow weary and burn out.

As you serve the Lord today, allow His agenda to become your own. The Bible tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God. The apostle Paul was compelled to serve God. Because of his love for God and those to whom he ministered to, he was driven to serve and to proclaim the Good News.

What is your motivating factor? Do others see Jesus in YOU!

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that your motivation to serve will be your love for Jesus Christ.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Middle Tennessee Outreach this week. Pray for the team as they host GoKids Clubs in inner-city Nashville. Pray as we minister to boys and girls and share with them the love of Jesus Christ, that God will bring forth a Bountiful Harvest for the Kingdom.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Street Witness by Joan Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 12, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Street Witness by Joan Cook

"And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did." John 4:39

While in Costa Rica, on a mission project, I had the opportunity to speak with a girl in a plaza in downtown San Jose. While our team was performing a drama and preaching in the plaza, a girl named Ann Marie walked up to me and asked to receive a booklet that we were passing out.

The booklet was the Gospel of John and after giving her a copy I began talking with her about the Bible. She began telling me how she did not know much about God or the Bible. It was a great opportunity for me to talk with her about who God was and how He had changed my life. She listened very intently to my personal testimony and was amazed to find out how much Jesus loved her and had a wonderful plan for her life. God had used me to help make a difference in her life!

In the book of John, chapter 4, the Bible tells us that the woman at the well had an encounter with Jesus. She then hurried to tell others what He had done for her. The Bible says, "many believed because of the testimony of the woman!" Just one lady had made a dramatic difference in so many lives just by sharing what Christ had done in her own life. Sharing your own personal encounter with Jesus can change someone's life forever. We can make a difference in the lives of those we meet.

Do not underestimate what one person, YOU, can do for the kingdom!

Daily Prayer Focus: Focus on the one thing that keeps you from sharing your faith or living for God. Decide today to give that issue to God and move into God's perfect will for your life.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Boldness, wisdom, and discernment for our Middle Tennessee Outreach GoTeam as they encounter witnessing opportunities through the GoKids Clubs, Flood Relief, Ministering to the Homeless, Prayer Walking, and One on One Evangelism.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Our World! By Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 11, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Our World! By Keith Cook

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

We need to understand our world.

Our world is a Dark World full of evil, violence, drugs, sex, and abuse. Evil gets more vocal and front page all the time. Once we are shocked often enough we then become complacent and numb to the abnormal and profane.

Our world is also a very vocal Third World full of hungry, needy and emerging people. Because of past neglect and abuse many of the under capitalized nations of the world are bitter and angry.

Our world also includes an Old World full of the status quo, with people looking for security and safety. They have become very traditional and nationalistic. Often they have outdated, time warped solutions to new and modern problems.

Our world includes a Disney World of fantasy and childish unrealistic expectations. Children and adults are allowed to live out of control with no absolutes and no moral compass.

There are some in our world who are Out of this World. Computers and technology is pulling us into the new millennium faster than most want to go. The future is here now.

You may think that you have special insulation from worldliness. You have it all figured out. You think you can escape worldliness. You have got God figured out and have put God in a box. Do you go to God when times start getting tough? Let Christ in your religion and allow the Holy Spirit of God to move in your heart and take hold of every area of your life.

Ask yourself:

1. Is the world in you? How is it obvious?

2. How do you hide it from others?

3. What are you going to do about it?

Daily Prayer Focus: God, search me and know me, try me and see if there be any wicked way in me. Continue to set me apart from the world as I am sent out to the world!

On The Go Prayer Focus: Middle Tennessee Outreach Team will be ministering today at First Baptist Church, Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Also, tonight we are hosting a Family Fun Fellowship at Travis Price Park in Springfield. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of all of those who will hear the Gospel message!

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Why Serve God? by Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 10, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

Why Serve God? by Keith Cook

"Do you not say there are yet four months and then comes harvest? Behold I say to you, Lift Up Your Eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest." John 4:35

There are several reasons people serve God.

1. For Fame - They want to make a name for themselves. They want to help the poor "heathen people."

2. For Fun - They think that mission trips, ministry, and service to others take them to exciting places. They want to have fun and meet other people.

3. For Adventure or Fantasy - They want to have a great experience with the culture or blaze a trail that no one has ever been on.

4. For Family - Their parents or spouse want them to minister and they agree to do ministry to save face or go along with the family on a project.

5. For Escape - They have nothing better to do and it will get them away from school or job for a while.

6. For Peers - Everyone else is going and they do not want to be left out.

7. For God - They are called by God and want to make a difference for Christ. They have lifted their eyes and looked on the fields that are ready for harvest.

Which one of the above represents you?

We serve God because...

He died for us.
He asked us to go for Him.
He loves the lost and so do we.
He will be with us as we go.
He will use us if we are "on the go" for Him!

Why serve God? Because He served us!

After taking thousands of people all over the world and all over the United States to do ministry I have experienced all of the above reasons why people want to go for God. When I find someone who really wants to go for God and they give all they have for Him I usually have made a co-worker for life.

Is God calling you to Go for Him?

Are you willing to listen and do what He says?

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that God will purify every wrong motivation that you may have for serving Him.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Middle Tennessee Outreach GoTeam Members today as they are helping with Flood Relief in Nashville. Pray for many opportunities to share the love of Christ as we reach out to those in need.

A Rain Drop and A Cloud by Laurie McTier

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 9, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

News Event: On July 9-17, On The Go will have our Middle Tennessee Outreach in Nashville. Pray for Divine Appointments and Open Doors for our teams as they minister to physical and spiritual needs!

A Rain Drop and A Cloud by Laurie McTier

"By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night." Exodus 13:21

God promises to equip you and prepare you for the work that He has called you to do. He will not send you out into the field and desert you. He will enable you to fulfill the calling He has given to you.

While on a GoTeam Outreach in Mexico, Keith sent word that the prayer focus for Thursday was that God would give us a raindrop and a cloud.

Praise God for prayer warriors! God's cloud and covering was obvious as we ministered in a local school and community. He had reserved a cloud specifically for our team. Everywhere we went, His covering followed the team. We even had an afternoon rain "shower" which lasted about 30 minutes, and cooled things off for the rest of the day. Until that moment, the only shower I had ever actually seen in Mexico was a few raindrops lasting five minutes at the most.

As you set out to serve God today, rest assured that His Spirit lives within you. God goes before us, behind us, and alongside each of His children. Pray specifically for the needs of those to whom you will be ministering to today. Seek His face. May God reveal Himself to you in a much more intimate way. He wants you to draw near to Him, for His word promises, as we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us.

Daily Prayer Focus: Lord, thank you for answered prayer. Thank you for being the same yesterday, today and forever.

On The Go Prayer Focus: The "On The Go Daily² 2 Minute Radio & Podcast Program. This is a daily program airing across the United States, and World via the internet and radio stations. ³On The Go Daily² is used to encourage, challenge, and motivate Christians in their daily walk. Pray for Keith, Joan, the On The Go Staff, and special guests as they share on these 2 minute broadcasts. You can hear these programs via our website if it is not available in your area.

A REAL MAN - by Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for July 8, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

A REAL MAN - by Keith Cook

"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." 1 Corinthians 13:11

MATURE - A Real Man is Mature In All Respects

A real man has put aside childish things and has spiritually grown up. That is not to say that he does not have fun or suddenly becomes somber and serious, but it does mean that every area of a Godly man's life is maturing and growing under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

ADVANCING - A Real Man is Advancing The Kingdom Of God

A true man takes care of his family and career but he also makes sure the Kingdom of God is advancing. He helps his local church by giving of his time, talents, money, and prayers. He ministers in his community. He assists other ministries as they go around the world for Jesus. He truly sees his place in ministry and does not run from his responsibilities to be a man of God. He does not loose focus of being a part of God's overall plan for winning the lost.

NEW NATURE - A Real Man is Controlled by a NEW Nature.

His character and conscience is clean. The man he is in public is the man he is in private.

His children see him as real and not fake. His wife knows he is not a hypocrite and that he is trustworthy.

Everyday the real man of God is getting in the Word of God and searching the scriptures and asking God to show him any wicked way that may be in his life.

Being controlled by the Holy Spirit takes daily dying to self and a minute-by-minute dependence on God's provision and right to direct one's life.

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that God will continue to raise up Real Men who are serious in their walk with Him and seeking to Mature, Advance, and be Controlled by a New Nature.

On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go's "Adopt An Evangelist" program. This program provides funding and support for various missions and evangelists around the world.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.
