No Road, No Problem by Keith Cook
"Let me pass through thy land: I will go along by the high way, I will neither turn unto the right hand nor to the left" Deuteronomy 2:27
David Livingston, pioneer missionary to Africa, was asked by a mission board the following question: "Have you found a good road to where you are in Africa? If so, we want to know so we can send some good men to join you." He responded, "If you have only men that will come when there is a good road, I do not want them. I want men who will come if there is no road at all."
Many today are ministering with ease because someone paved a trail for them. One of my favorite sayings while on a mission project is, "You guys have it easy! You should have been with David and I when we first came here!" Then I proceed to share with the wide-eyed new evangelists our "war stories" about the good old days when there was no electricity, no pure bottled water, no internet, and no vehicles to transport us into an area.
Many of them can not believe that we actually slept on the ground or ate strange delicacies like dog, snake, worms, bugs, and live fish. They are amazed that we would walk for hours each day to share with one family way out in the jungle somewhere. They are blown away when I share of our close calls of being captured by guerillas and possible torture for sharing Christ in non-Christian areas of our world. Their hearts leap when I share of guns pointed at me while I preach, riots breaking out in Muslim areas as we minister, and gangs poised to kill us until the gang leader comes to Christ and stops them. It is hard for them to imagine how long we had to be away from friends and family.
Usually after one of my famous outbursts of nostalgia Christ will direct me to encourage them that they too have their roads to walk and their paths to chart by faith. It is hard to be too hard on them because they are trusting Christ in a world that does not understand or appreciate what they are doing. Modern religionists are even downplaying their importance in God's work. Humanism has crept into the church and is causing a whole generation of youth and young adults to question the value of going to the ends of the earth.
I am so thankful that there is a willing and mighty remnant of missionaries and evangelists who are blazing their own trails under the direction of the Holy Spirit. I work, network, and partner with many of them everyday. They live by the philosophy, "No Road-No Problem."
How about you?
Daily Prayer: Pray that God will give you Holy Boldness and New Vision as you seek to serve God wholeheartedly.

Spiritual Warfare
Spiritual Warfare by Keith Cook
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4
A few years ago in our staff devotions God lead me to share with our staff about different encounters I had had concerning spiritual warfare and some demonic experiences. As you might guess it was a wild and exciting time for our staff.
As I began relating some of the supernatural experiences I had had I noticed several different expressions on our team's faces.
Some were excited
Some were shocked
Some started getting fearful
Some were even skeptical
As we went around the room sharing "war stories" it was amazing to see how much goes on in the spirit world that we can not explain in the natural realm. We all know it was not of this world but we could not prove it with an instrument. Yet if we were each put on a lie detector machine we would pass because we know it really happened.
Hearing stories about demons, the Devil, angels, and the supernatural is very exciting and shocking but God would not have us get fearful or even skeptical. He would have us live by faith and realize that "greater is He who lives in us than He who is in this world."
Daily Prayer Focus: Thank God that He is greater than any problem you have in your life. Trust Him for your protection and direction.
On The Go Prayer Focus: Joan Cook's "Women On The Go" Ministries. Joan's "Women On The Go" programs are implemented at women's conferences, local churches, retreats, and separate stand-alone events. God has given her a burden to minister to and encourage women in their walk with the Lord. Pray for Joan as she ministers and shares from her heart and as she presents motivational, evangelistic programs, materials, and leadership to and for women that will challenge and motivate them to a deeper walk with the Lord.

Dream, Laugh, Shout, Call On Him
Dream, Laugh, Shout, Call On Him by Tekká Kelly
"Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live." Psalms 116:2
"Call His name and He'll always hear you
Look into His eyes and you'll know He's the greatest prize.
Hear His voice and you'll know He's the greatest God of Heaven and Earth.
All are His creation
No other god is worth it.
He loves me, He cares for me.
He parted the sea, He's there for me.
Do you believe in Him?
I do because He created me.
He is the greatest God of Heaven and Earth.
That's what I believe."
Each of us can relate to the poem mentioned above. We have so much to be thankful for. The Bible says, "Call unto me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you know not of." Jeremiah 33:3. Just as he does for Tekká, God has so much in store for all of us. Today, take His Word to heart. Find scripture passages that relate to your situation, and make His promises your prayer today. Call upon Him and allow Him to reveal Himself to you in great and mighty ways.
Daily Prayer: Praise God for Answered Prayers!
On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go's GoCare ministry. This is our acts of kindness and benevolence ministry department. The focus of our GoCare ministry is to reach out to physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of hurting individuals and to build bridges between churches and their communities.

How To Start a Religious Conversation
How To Start a Religious Conversation by Keith Cook
"Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord" 2 Timothy 1:8
Evangelist Larry Moyer uses the Plow and Pursue Method. He plows in to a conversation with someone and pursues any open doors he finds. He does not rely on a script or memorized formulas.
While we believe Larry has a valid approach we also see the benefits of having a track to run on in witnessing. I believe that if we aim at nothing we will usually hit it! Nothing solid happens without prayer, thought, and preparation. Trusting God means more than sloppy evangelism and hit or miss techniques.
We have tried to come up with the simplest, most friendly, and memorable way to have a sincere non-pushy conversation with someone and still share the message of Christ at the same time. We have come up with the following acrostic to help you remember our simple way to share Christ. It is built around our ministry name "On The Go".
O - The "O" stands for the Ordinary. Talk with people about ordinary things. Their name, family, job, occupation, children, sports, etc... If you plough in like this you may find a path that comes quite natural to pursue and leads to an opportunity to share the Gospel. I call this "Holy Hovering". When you are waiting on God to open a door to share the right story or illustration.
T - The "T" stands for sharing your testimony. Sharing your story is important for people who may not believe the Bible or trust religion! They can see and hear you. Your heartfelt testimony can soften their hearts.
G - The "G" stands for sharing the Gospel and calling for a decision for Christ. Just talking about their life and sharing your testimony will not get them into Heaven. Share the Gospel - their good news!
Daily Prayer Focus: Pray for an opportunity to start a religious conversation today. See what God can do through you.
On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go Ministry Supporters. It takes teamwork to make the dream work! Our ministry supporters have made commitments to play a vital part of our team through praying, sharing, caring, going, and growing.

Plan of Action
Plan of Action by Laurie McTier
"Preach the Word, be prepared in season and out of season...but you keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of the evangelist..." 2 Timothy 4:2, 5
In times of disaster, we must have a plan of action. In recent years as I tracked the path of hurricanes and natural disasters, my thoughts and prayers have gone out to those whose lives have been affected by the storms. As the storms began to roll in, our staff members were in contact with local pastors, family members, and friends so that we could follow their needs and help them with our ministry teams.
What should be our plan of action? Do we just sit back and observe, or do we take action? What would Jesus do?
1) Pray. God knows their needs and He has resources to reach each of them at the point of their need.
2) Give. You may be unable to travel to areas of devastation, but God has blessed you, and in return you want to bless others in their time of need. As you give, you will be blessed. No gift when given from the heart is small in God's eyes.
3) Go. Often times God places a burden on our heart that we must take a more active role. When God guides, He provides. He will provide the resources necessary in order that your actions and words can be effective.
There is always a need for a special plan of action. We must be prepared to reach out to physical and spiritual needs. If you or someone you know would like to know how you can be involved with On The Go Ministries in Disaster Relief, please contact our office and we will be glad to give you more information.
Daily Prayer: Pray for the lost that they will see their need for Jesus Christ.
On The Go Prayer Focus: The GoTeam Short Term Missions Projects and GoTeam Members. GoTeams are made up of young people and adults who voluntarily go on an On The Go mission project around the world and are making a strategic impact for Christ.
Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Livingstonian Faith
Livingstonian Faith by Keith Cook
"without faith it is impossible to please God" Hebrews 11:6
Directing a ministry that reaches out around the world can be a daunting task. Everyday you have to make decisions that affect the very souls of men. The world, the Devil, and even human intellect are constantly bombarding you with negative, critical, and faithless fears and accusations.
Daily, and oftentimes moment by moment, you hear the following questions flowing through your mind and heart:
"Are you hearing from God? Did God really say...?"
"Are you sure...? Prove it! Explain it!"
"How can we do...? Is it in the Budget? Do you have the money?"
The questions and the opportunities to turn back and shrink back into nothingness are always gnawing at your hearts gate.
Recently while I was battling my emotions and during a tense time of spiritual warfare my wife Joan asked me to find a quote for her by David Livingston. David was a pioneer missionary to Africa. I searched and searched the internet and my library but was unable to find anything she needed, but God used my study and research time to inspire me to have "Livingstonian Faith".
As I read quote after quote attributed to this missionary statesman my heart was challenged and encouraged all at the same time. David Livingston had the following to say about faith and trusting God.
"Lord, send me anywhere, only go with me. Lay any burden on me, only sustain me. Sever any tie but the tie that binds me to Thyself."
"The end of the exploration is the beginning of missionary enterprise."
"I will go anywhere, provided it is forward."
"Fear God and work hard."
"I will place no value on anything I have or may possess except in relation to the kingdom of Christ."
"I determined never to stop until I had come to the end and achieved my purpose."
"Nothing earthly will make me give up my work in despair."
"Do not think me mad. It is not to make money that I believe a Christian should live. The noblest thing a man can do is, just humbly to receive, and then go amongst others and give."
"Without Christ, not one step; with Him, anywhere!"
What a great legacy of faith and trust in God. We should all be challenged to live with this same kind of faith and commitment to Christ. I want to challenge you, as I was challenged, to live with "Livingstonian Faith"
Daily Prayer: Pray that God will truly give you "Livingstonian Faith," a faith that looks beyond the present and sees the hand of God.
On The Go Prayer Focus: Keith Cook Crusades, Celebrations, and Festivals. God has given Keith the opportunity and privilege of sharing the message of Christ both stateside and internationally. During each opportunity, Keith presents a joyful and enthusiastic, yet powerful and clear presentation of the Gospel and a call to commitment to Christ.

Mastering The Word
Mastering The Word by Keith Cook
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8
Mastering the Word of God will always be a quest for me, sort of a vision quest. If I want more visions and dreams then I must master the Word that God is giving me. Mastering the Word of God requires not just busy work or something you have to do to please God. It is actually a privilege to meet with God each day and have holy dialog.
How can you begin to master the Word of God?
1) Read The Word - Reading God's Word takes discipline and time. You can read the Bible through in one year if you simply read the Bible each day for only fifteen minutes! Start today. If you miss a day pick back up where you stopped. Keep a simple checklist of what you are reading.
2) Hear The Word - Listen to great teachers and preachers. Go to church and attend services regularly. Take notes on each sermon or lecture you hear. Keep a notebook and write down the speaker's name, date, scripture, outline, illustrations, or points.
3) Study The Word - After a while you will want to dig deeper into God's Word. Get a Bible dictionary, commentary and study books and start making an effort to get at the historical, spiritual, and applicable meanings behind passages you read.
4) Memorize The Word - Practice, practice, practice. Start with a verse a week. Say it, sing it, shout it, tell it to a friend, write it down, tack it up on the Wall, or put it on sticky notes. The point is pick a scripture and learn it. It will be used of God in the future to help you or someone you meet.
5) Meditate On The Word - This is simply making the Word personal. Talk to God about what you are reading in the Word. Focus on a passage and pray it back to God. Talk to Him about what you hear Him saying in the Word. This is very fun and exciting.
6) Apply The Word - Take God's Word and use it in your daily life. Love, live, and be what you are reading.
7) Share The Word - Tell others about what God says in His Word. He loves them and has a wonderful plan for their lives.
Remember - The Word of God when it is mastered:
It is your Authority for all that you do.
It is your Tool to help others and yourself find the true meaning of life.
It is your Sword to defeat the enemy.
It is used by the Holy Spirit to Bring God's revealed Word and will to a situation.
When you take these seven steps to mastering God's Word you begin a lifelong journey that ultimately is completed in Heaven where everything about our lives and the will of God will be revealed!
Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that you will begin to master God's Word. Pray that you can apply these seven steps and praise God for the transformation these applications will bring.
On The Go Prayer Focus: The Safety In Travel for each On The Go staffer and GoTeam volunteers.
