Is Your Sin Too Big For God To Forgive? By Joan Cook

"Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin." James 4:17

As human beings we seem to put different degrees on sin. For instance, telling a lie might be classified as a very small sin, while, stealing might be thought of as a much bigger sin.

Jesus Christ had to pay the price for each and every sin we commit or will ever commit. You know, just one of our sins would have sent Jesus to the cross, no matter how big or small we think it might be.

Have you ever been to the beach? At the beach there is sand everywhere. In the sand you might see tiny little crabs burrowing themselves in very small holes. You might see children playing and digging much larger holes in the sand with their shovels. You might even see a bulldozer digging gigantic holes in the sand. When the ocean tide comes in, all of the holes will be covered up with water, no matter how large or small they are.

God's forgiveness is the same! No matter how great we might think our sin is, He can and will forgive, if only we'll ask Him.

Daily Prayer Focus: Ask God to search your heart and show you the sin that is in your life. Repent from your sin and recommit to serve the Lord with all of your heart.

Why We Do What We Do by Keith Cook

Why We Do What We Do by Keith Cook

"For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14

Recently I traveled all the way across the country to help a local church with a Sunday service. Usually I am preaching and sharing with lost people on a street corner, market place, beach, or in an arena overseas. I felt in my heart that God was calling me to go, and that this was a divine appointment. God called me into evangelism at the age of 15, and I am constantly seeking opportunities to share His Word and train others so that they might impact their generation for Christ. As I traveled across country, my heart's prayer was that God would give me the exact word that this congregation needed to hear.

The services went great. I shared in all of the three Sunday morning services and led a special service on Sunday night. I told the congregation how much it touched my heart for them to allow me to minister to them in such a personal way.

Upon returning home their pastor sent me the following email that he had received. (This is an edited version to protect the tenderness and identity of the individual.)

Dear Pastor,

First let me start by saying that I have never really connected with any church I've ever attended. I woke up one Sunday morning and thought I'd check out what services were on the television, something I've never done before. After watching your program for only five minutes, I was convinced I had to come to one of your services.

Upon arriving I felt a feeling I don't think I can really put into words, but it was a good feeling... better yet it was one of the best feeling I'd had in recent memory! I was never one to sing in church, and even though sometimes the sermons were insightful and well thought out, I never really felt "moved by the Holy Spirit" like I'd heard so many people talk about. The moment the music started and the singing began, without being aware of it, I started the best ride of my life.

You had a guest speaker that Sunday, Keith Cook. From the moment he started talking it was like he was speaking directly to me. He spoke about things that I had been going through in my personal life like someone had written them down and asked him to speak directly to me.

Then in the midst of all of this, you sang a song that seemed like it had been written just for me. For the first time in my life, as he said the closing prayer, I wept with joy because I finally felt what it truly meant to be "moved by the Holy Spirit!"

My wife and I separated back in January. Since that time I haven't cried any tears that weren't filled with pain and depression, and haven't had any hope about what the future held for me. I now not only have hope in my life, but I also have a direction and a purpose. I know that through God all things are possible and only through serving Him and giving up my will, will I ever have the happiness and joy that He intended me to have.

You and your church mean more to me than words could ever do justice. I thank you for allowing Him to use you as such a powerful servant.

(My pastor friend was blessed as was I with this great word.)

Today as you do what you do and live where you live, remember that God can use you in every situation you find yourself in. God sent me on a five hour plane journey to connect with a man in need. He prepared a spirit filled church to receive him, and He used a progressive television ministry to get his attention. God is so good. Let Him use you today. Remember, "all things work together for good" if we do what we should to be all He wants us to be and we remain faithful to the tasks He gives us to do.

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that your heart will be prepared to minister to those who God brings across your path today.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Joan Cook's "Women On The Go" Ministries. Joan's "Women On The Go" programs are implemented at women's conferences, local churches, retreats, and separate stand-alone events. God has given her a burden to minister to and encourage women in their walk with the Lord. Pray for Joan as she ministers and shares from her heart and as she presents motivational, evangelistic programs, materials, and leadership to and for women that will challenge and motivate them to a deeper walk with the Lord.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.

Easter Son Rise by Keith Cook

Easter Son Rise by Keith Cook

"He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, saying, 'The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.'" Luke 24:6,7

"Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things." Luke 24:45-48

Can you imagine that first Easter morning? Long before there were Easter eggs, fancy baskets, chocolate bunnies, and Easter lilies there was an actual event that changed the course of humanity forever.

On that day that Jesus miraculously rose from the dead, the angels rejoiced while the demons trembled. Salvation had come as death, Hell, and the grave were defeated.

As the sun came up, just as it had every day since creation, it now shown on a Risen Lord. The reflection of the sun on the Son proved He was alive and not a ghost. The reflection of the Son to His disciples proved that each of them, and every man, had reason for putting their hope and trust in Jesus, the Messiah.

Let the "Son Rise" in your life.

1. Seek Him while there is time.

2. Open up your heart and life to Him so that He can give you life forever.

3. Never forget what He has done for you.

4. Reflect on His will for your life.

5. Instruct all around you how they can come to Jesus.

6. Seek opportunities to serve Jesus in acts of compassion, divine appointments, and in spiritual activities.

7. Enjoy the new life in Christ that you have been given.

Jesus Christ has risen and we celebrate this fact today! Move from the cross, past the empty tomb, and now share the good news that Jesus is alive.

He is alive! Rejoice. Son of God rise in our lives today!

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that you be faithful to God and that the Son will Rise in your life today.

On The Go Prayer Focus: On The Go's GoCare ministry. This is our acts of kindness and benevolence ministry department. The focus of our GoCare ministry is to reach out to physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of hurting individuals and to build bridges between churches and their communities.

He Is Risen Indeed!

On The Go Daily Devotion for APRIL 3, 2010

He Is Risen Indeed!

"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you." Matthew 28:6,7

He Is Risen! Christ Is Risen Indeed! This week Christians worldwide are celebrating Easter. Christ is alive and at work in our midst. We should celebrate His resurrection each and every day as we take the opportunity to share with others the "Good News" of Jesus Christ.

The On The Go staff would like to take this time to wish you and your family a very Happy Easter. May God pour out His blessings upon you as you spend quality time together. Take time this weekend to reflect on who Jesus is and the difference that His resurrection has made in your lives.

The grave could not Him; His death was swallowed up in Victory!

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray for lost friends and family members that God will make the message of Christ real in their lives and that they will see their need for a Savior!

No Greater Love by Laurie McTier

On The Go Daily Devotion for APRIL 2, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

No Greater Love by Laurie McTier

"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:4-6

Christ's persecution, death, burial, and resurrection fulfilled all prophesies written in the scripture. His death was the ultimate sacrifice, but was the only ransom that would ever cover our sin debt. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Christ once again totally yielded to His Father. In Luke 22:42, Jesus says "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." Christ took on the form of a servant, and proved to be obedient unto death.

The grave could not hold Him! Christ truly is Risen! He loves us with an everlasting love and has called us to share that same love with those we come in contact with. God bless you today as you live for Him!

Daily Prayer Focus: Praise God for the promise of Eternal Life!

On The Go Prayer Focus: The GoTeam Short Term Missions Projects and GoTeam Members. GoTeams are made up of young people and adults who voluntarily go on an On The Go mission project around the world and are making a strategic impact for Christ.

The Passion of the Christ by Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion For APRIL 1, 2010

Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

The Passion of the Christ by Keith Cook

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Revelation 12:11

A few years ago, my whole family and entire staff of On The Go Ministries went to see "The Passion Of The Christ". The film totally rocked my world! It visually showed what Jesus went through for you and me. The truth and reality portrayed on screen touched my heart, and I was broken and speechless. I was almost sobbing because of what Christ had done for me.

I saw it visually, and it touched my heart. God wants us to do more with "The Passion of Christ" than to just be touched; He wants us to go on from there. The Bible says that the early Christians overcame the devil because of the blood of Jesus, and in this movie, I think it correctly depicted how much blood Jesus shed for you and me. Also, the Bible says, they overcame not only because of the blood that Jesus shed or the salvation that He offered, but because of the word of their testimony. What Jesus Christ did gave them hope, peace, and courage to stand up and say that Jesus was not just a man, He was the God-Man. Jesus Christ was not just a good teacher, He was the Son of God. I believe in Him as my Savior, and I will live for Him.

They had the blood of Jesus, the word of their testimony, and they were fearless unto death. Jesus went all the way to death, and after three days, He arose again and to offer us life. As believers today, we need to live for Jesus, let the Blood, and the Word, and your Testimony speak for Christ.

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that the love of Christ, the Blood that He shed, and your daily testimony will penetrate hearts of the lost that they might come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

On The Go Prayer Focus: All the local churches, committees, and leaders who will be working with On The Go Ministries and the Keith Cook Team in creative outreach efforts in the United States and around the world.

An Invitation Please by Keith Cook

On The Go Daily Devotion for March 31, 2010
Brought to you each day by
Keith Cook Evangelistic Association / On The Go

An Invitation Please by Keith Cook

"And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ..." Colossians 4:3

Years ago, while working at a Billy Graham Crusade, I learned a valuable lesson that I have never forgotten. It is so simple yet profound in it's scope for ministry and service. This is what I learned: People will come to Christian events and services if they are invited! Simple, but true.

Most unchurched are never invited to events or services. Each week millions of Christians make a holy pilgrimage to a local church to worship God and they pass millions of lost and needy people on the way.

According to the Billy Graham School of Evangelism at Southern Seminary, 96% of the unchurched would come to church if invited. While I know saying you will come and actually showing up is far from a certainty, it does speak well of how favorably the church is seen by most people. If you invited someone to go to prison or a local bar, the percentages would be well below those of a church invitation.

The average church only has about 20% of its membership inviting guests to come be a part of their services. The majority of those invitations, 98% to be exact, go to people who are already church goers themselves.

Can you imagine if every member of every Christian church simply invited a non-churched person or family to church this week. What would happen? Based on the figures I have that would mean that over 150 million new people could come to church this next Sunday. Wow!

That would not take a big plan or a lot of extra work on anyone's part. Simply opening one's mouth and asking, "Hey, would you like to come visit our church this week?" or "Would you and your family like to be our guests at a special event we are having at our church this weekend?" This weekend we celebrate Easter Sunday, what better way to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ than to invite an unchurched individual to attend Worship Services with you and share with them the
love of Christ!

Take a few moments to make a simple list of those you could invite to church this weekend.

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

All it takes is an invitation. Do your part this week in reaching your world for Christ.

Daily Prayer Focus: Take a moment to pray for: Open Doors, Open Minds, Open Hearts!

On The Go Prayer Focus: Praise God for the lives that have been challenged and the decisions that have been made this week during the Revival Services at Faith Baptist Church in Jackson, Ohio.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to info@onthego.org.
