Where Does Your Motivation Lie

Where Does Your Motivation Lie by Laurie McTier

"And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up." 1 Corinthians 13:3,4

What motivates you to action? Are you moved when you see the needs of others? Do you respond out of a heart of love and compassion, or out of guilt and a sense of responsibility? The Bible says that without love, our service will be unprofitable. Unless we are motivated by our love for Jesus Christ, we will quickly grow weary and burn out.

As you serve the Lord today, allow His agenda to become your own. The Bible tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God. The apostle Paul was compelled to serve God. Because of his love for God and those to whom he ministered to, he was driven to serve and to proclaim the Good News.

What is your motivating factor? Do others see Jesus in YOU!

Daily Prayer Focus: Pray that your motivation to serve will be your love for Jesus Christ.

On The Go Prayer Focus: Canada GoTeam. Praise God for each individual decision for Christ. Pray for our new brothers and sisters in Christ as they seek to know the Lord in a deeper way. Pray for their spiritual growth and they will become involved in a local Christian church.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for this important division of On The Go Ministries. For more information on any our ministries here at On The Go, you may send your questions to
