Called to Pray

Called to Pray by the Staff of On The Go and the Presidential Prayer Team

The Staff at On The Go Ministries and the Presidential Prayer Team would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the "National Day of Prayer"!

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."  2 Chronicles 7:14

Tomorrow is the day set aside as the National Day of Prayer across America. God is the only hope for America. Prayer is a powerful weapon. Prayer can break through strongholds, which have stood firm for years. God wants His Children to become mighty, active prayer warriors!  It is an unprecedented opportunity to see the Lord's healing and renewing power made manifest as we call on citizens to humbly come before His throne. The mission of the National Day of Prayer is mobilizes unified public prayer for America.

In times when our thoughts are often full of anxiety, please know that God never changes. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8 Prayer is an opportunity to praise God for His mighty works, His gift of freedom, His mercy, and His boundless love. He is sovereign and nothing comes as a surprise to Him.Prayer taps into God's wisdom, strength, protection, and peace. His Glory shines and is spread across America as we humble ourselves in prayer and exalt Him in praise.

Our theme for 2020 is Pray God's Glory Across the Earth. To further highlight our theme, we've chosen Habakkuk 2:14 as our Scripture for this year:  "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."

Through prayer, we are able to tap into His wisdom, strength, power, protection, and peace. He stands ready to respond to our needs when we humbly ask for His divine intervention.

At this crucial time for our nation, we can do nothing more important than pray.  Thank you in advance for making this spiritual discipline a personal priority and for standing with us as we encourage others to incorporate prayer in their lives.  The Lord has graciously anointed our efforts, empowering them to touch and change many hearts and lives.  Pray for God's Glory to Spread Across America.

If you are not already a member of The Presidential Prayer Team, we encourage you to show your support by joining this important prayer effort today. The goal of The Presidential Prayer Team is to mobilize 1% of the U.S. population, or 3.2 million people, to commit to pray daily for the President, his cabinet and our nation. This year the Presidential Prayer Team would like to invite you to join millions of praying Americans praying online for our nation.

To learn how you can join this history-making effort, visit The Presidential Prayer Team at www.presidentialprayerteam.org.  It is an unprecedented opportunity to see the Lord's healing and renewing power made manifest as we call on citizens to humbly come before His throne.

Suggested  Prayer for The National Day of Prayer

Lord, we exist to give You glory. We exist because of Your glory and in Your glory, as our Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer. We give you thanks and praise for every breath and moment You have given to us. We repent of our sin; for the shameful things we have done against You and for our silence when we did not speak up to proclaim Your Name, profess Your Word, or Protect and Practice Your will. We ask Your forgiveness.

We pray the the knowledge of the glory of the Lord will spread across our nation and the entire earth as we seek Your Kingdom and righteousness,; as we walk in obedience to You, and in humble unity, love one another. Jesus, the Bible says that You are "the knowledge of the glory of the Lord." You have taught us to pray, commanded us to love, and commissioned us to share Your gospel of grace. Your glory fills our hearts and families., it overflows into our neighborhoods, workplaces, campuses, churches, in our entertainment, and media. We give thanks for our military and ask that Your glory would spread to, and through them as they preserve freedom around the world. We pray for our government, that all of our leaders and laws would be filled with your Glory, that they would magnify Your Holy Word and honor Your will and ways. We pray that Your grace and glory would spread to bring hope to the hopeless, and love where there is hurt and hate. God, use us as we pray your promise, that "the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord,as the waters cover the sea. Amen!
